...I preferred Skrillex when he didn't make this kind of terribleness.

I prefer this sort of melodic, still-recognizable-as-music, sort of Dubstep.

Some dubstep has just become senseless noise...

Hey, you're hurting my feelings. It's not just senseless noise, it's the arrangement of bass sounds with particular timbres. In most cases the most important part of the drop is the basses' timbres, but some composers make very unoriginal sounds and in this case you're right, it's just senseless noise.

Anyways, that music you posted isn't dubstep, it's 110 BPM.

Check this out, it's a pretty melodic Drumstep (more epic, faster dubstep)

Dubstep is very loosely defined.

Man, I love Zomboy. I am by no means a Dubstep hater, I'm just rather picky about what I do like.

It's because you made your very own definition of Dubstep. Dubstep is at 140 BPM and its drum beats have a clap or snare inserted every third beat in a bar. 110 BPM has a four-to-floor rythm and obviously it's at around 110 BPM. What defines a genre is the tempo and the drum beats, the sounds used are just a contour. If you want to say that it's electronic music in general, then say it's EDM.

Whoa there cowboy, don't get your panties in knot. For all intents and purposes, Dubstep is fairly loosely defined. While there may be a more strict definition of Dubstep, for the most part it's not worth noting. It's an evolving genre, and not all songs will comply with a strict set of rules to be considered Dubstep. If we were to specifically categorize every song into a proper genre, there would be too many to remember. I think it's just fine to refer to a piece of music that has been influenced by Dubstep, as Dubstep. In any case, what does it matter? If you want to be a music taxonomist, be my guest, but don't expect it from the rest of us. You're free to call it what you'd like, as am I. No hard feelings, alright?

Have some Dubstep:

Okay, it is an evolving genre, but it still has its rythmic characteristics. So you can't say that and Electro track is Dubstep just because it has those kind of basses. Is it asking too much to categorize electronic music in just, what, five genres?

I usually don't want to argue on anything, but music is my thing, and people that don't pay attention to what they say about it makes me mad. I know it's kinda stupid, but I don't care. :P
