Allow Me To Introduce Myself

When I was a kid, Rock Raiders was my absolute favorite LEGO line. I had nearly all the sets, and when the game came out I had to get it. I played until I got stuck and then stopped due to that pesky thing called school. Years later I picked it up again and got further. Then I lost it. Now I have it again and am obsessed with it. My brother discovered it on his own, and now we're both obsessed. A nostalgia bomb blew and the shockwave is hitting me full force as I just remembered the minifigures' names.

Feels good to be a kid again. xD

I won't lose it. And if I do, you have the authority to shove me in front of a bus.

My bro got the idea to remake the game with a level editor, and I said I was sure somebody had come up with one. But I got the idea to remake the game with higher polys to better take advantage of modern machines. But I'm no programmer; I was going to be one but C++ was a total killjoy and made me switch majors to music.

Welcome!

About C++: Try python instead ;P

There are high-poly models included in RR (you can see them when going into first-person mode), and Cyrem discovered a way to replace the low-poly ones with the higher ones, making it look a lot better. I've never found it again though. Sadly, we've never been able to increase the resolution, and it still remains at a measly 640x480. :(
