Keep in mind he had support on all fronts that could have easily caused more damage than he did, so they did not focus on him as much as they should, and his armor was in pieces by the end of the day. The reason the Chinese invaded was because The United States defaulted on their loans. They wanted his house because it is a renforeced concrete structure with its own power station, commuincations hub, maintaince bay, medical facilities, and various other particualy useful elements with five foot thick outer walls with dimond encrusted steel plates to prevent most drills from getting through and one foot thick inner walls and windows. The living space proper is in the three stories above ground, with the "utility" elements in the two stories below ground. It is also in an easy to defend location with many choke points. It is large enough to be its own town.
