Before you start the counter trolling, I'm putting up facts (mostly) about TLS (System) and LT (Technic), Megablocs (8mm measure), and BTR.

Materials:

TLS: Mix of ABS and PC, mostly ABS

LT: Mix of ABS and PC, heavier on PC when compared to TLS, some elements are PP, a few are suspected to be a PE

MB: HIPS

BTR: PP suspected, possibly ABS or PC

Element design

Pins:

TLS and LT: Split annualar

MB: Split circular

BTR: Data Unavailable

Specialty Elements:

TLS and LT: General, typicaly will fit in other models fairly easily, but can make some prototypes dificult to replicate

MB: Very specific but can be worked with, material allows custom elements to be fabrcated from off the shelf hobby parts and materials without degrigation of appearance

BTR: Very specific but can be worked with, barely

Durablity and repairs:

TLS and LT: Low to very high, can be repaired with cyanoacrylate resin, however, bending from the break may make the element difficult to repair

MB: Very low to high, can be repaired with solvent

BTR: Low to high, very high (possible), repairs are same as TLS and LT

Summary:

This takes model appearence into account

General work: structures within models and other basic functions

Trim: Wall fill and detail

Play: Little kids are entertained and survives rough housing

TLS: good for general work, trim and play, very poor for mechanisms

LT: very good for mechanisms, good for play, moderate for general work, poor to low moderate for trim

MB: Very good for trim and not much else. low moderate play, moderate functions and trim

BTR: Good for play, and trim and general work, moderate for functions

This is for systems that could be mixed with TLS from their realese.
