A few days ago, out of boredom, I looked up.

It was around four, and the sky was a deep shade of blue. They sun's life giving rays bounced off a cloud and lit up the adjacent clouds as they floated past. The sun would warm the earth again once the cloud hid behind a building, and everything was bathed in light, shadows grew long. My eyes were nearly blinded from the beautiful yellow ball of pure energy. Until another cloud would hide the sun from the earth who as always needed her, and the cycle would repeat again.

For that moment, I saw how beautiful the sky was, but then I had to return to pale dull buzz of artificial light. With no blue sky, and a pain of glass from the rest of the world.
