Cyrem
Since I own several LRR releases and thanks to Origamiguy's little checksum tool, I decided to make a differences topic like that of the LEGO Racers one. I'll try to get pictures of these soon. From this information you will notice a couple of things things: The SelectSoft Re-Release is the best version of LRR. No Disc Required and it has the audio track burnt. Reflex, FocusMM and Dice re-releases do not have a audio track burnt. This means there is no game music in these versions! lol username, ShadowDraikana and Ben24x7

I don't know if my game is the one you refer to as "Dice" or the one you refer to as "XP Compatible". Because, as you can see in the bottom-right corner of the game-case, it is from dice multimedia. But on the back it says (under system requirements) that it runs on XP. I know that I haven't posted the checksums from CLGen.dat and data1.cab, but (weird enough) The checksum tool told that acces was denied to CLGen.dat, even though it is in the same directory as the other files. Acces was also denied to data1.cab, but that was on the cd so that is perhaps the reason. Yet two other notes: 1. My game runs fine without the cd. 2. I have never heard the music. Yours is the Dice release. Thanks for that. If you copy data1.cab and CLGen.dat to your desktop, you should be able to check from there. You can check for an audio track by either attempting to play the disc in WMP or a CD Player . What Language is the Dice version?

What Language is the Dice version? WMP says that the disc is empty and the CD-player plays no sound. (though it displays that it is playing track one, and the disc is turning.) And my game is danish. I don't know if it's because it's the Masterpiece edition or because it's the scandinavian version of the game. Probably because it's Scandinavian. They changed all the sound files for different languages, so they probably cleared them out with it.

JrMasterModelBuilder
This is something I've been wondering, but hadn't bothered to ask as I had believed only the original release had an audio track. I have the selectsoft re-release which I guess means my disk has an audio track. What exactly is this audio track? Gow does it impact the game versus copies without it? Do I need to put the CD in to have it in-game (like the videos)? Any idea why are they numbered 2 3 & 4 but no 1?

I have the selectsoft re-release which I guess means my disk has an audio track. What exactly is this audio track? Gow does it impact the game versus copies without it? Do I need to put the CD in to have it in-game (like the videos)? Any idea why are they numbered 2 3 & 4 but no 1? The first track is the data track, this is all the game files minus the music files. The music is then burnt as 'audio tracks' to the disc. This allows the disc to be played in CD players like a normal audio disc, this is also what the game looks for to play music. The SelectSoft release is the best release, it was made correctly with all tracks. The releases thereafter only contained the data track and none of the music tracks. This means the disc has no music to play. The reason why the tracks are missing could have been due to them no knowing the game reads the disc as if it was an audio CD (as games today don't work like this anymore). To have the music play as normal, you will need to insert the disc. Number 1 is the data track, it's not audio. Thats why the audio starts at track 2.
