Little W.I.P preview of a side-project where I'm remaking the LMS Explorer's bridge in Half-Life: Alyx (honestly, there's no specific reason why it's in Source 2's engine, other than the fact I want to see what the bridge is like in VR).
So far, I've completed blocking out the environment with world geometry, I'm just currently in the process of making/implementing custom models and materials to add further detail (e.g. Studs, Grills, etc, all of which are custom made from the ground up).
Also, I know the lighting is rather ugly, unfortunately the lighting in the intro is inconsistent - as light sources keep moving around from shot-to-shot - so this is just a compromise for the time being, using elements from different shots or renders of the bridge (also worth noting is that Half-Life: Alyx has some strict limitations on how many direct light sources can shine on a surface, so attempting to replicate the actual lighting in LRR
's opening cutscene would potentially cause baking problems).
I do have plans to redo the lighting later once more custom assets/wall materials have been added.
