    Yard sale fun!

Alcom's Journal. 8/8/2012, Entry 1. I have found another piece of evidence proving the existence of the A'yard'sale, the legendary temple filled with ancient LEGO Sets available prices unheard of. It is a script from a man named El Scorcho, in which he claims to have acquired two ancient sets for $25. I estimate that this piece of writing was made sometime in the early 21st century. It gives no indication as to where the temple is, or whether or not the temple still stands, but I now firmly believe that the temple exists, and that it can be found.

Hey ToolRaider, here is an excellent rule of not getting moderators or anyone angry. If a comment follows the general implied consensus of the RRU community, and contains only that consensus, do not type it.

    Yard sale fun!

I'm not really a big fan of the Time Cruisers sets, but the Flying Ninja Fortress... I'm Jelly. Nice deal, though. I never get good deals. No, this one time I got a big box of parts from some guy for $200. I looked through the parts, and found the Futuron monorail set, about 98% complete, plus the accessory track set. There was a ton of other old sets too, but the monorail was all I cared about... I had two of that set once. It was really cool.

    Ogel in Island

"Ogel" was first used in the Autumn 1985 Bricks 'n Pieces magazine, on page five. The Captain Indigo comic there mentions that it's a planet where Indigo and Polka-Dot were taking a vacation before they get called down to a town to investigate evil robot police officers and stuff. The backstory for LEGO Island (explained in the manual via comic) also involved the Brickster stealing pieces from LEGO Island to make his own island, Ogel Island. "Ogel" is also used in the LEGO Island game itself to activate debug mode. The word was used yet again for the name of Ogel when the Alpha Team game was released in 2000, and of course the sets that followed from 2001 to 2005. The Brickster's Ogel Island is also the final location in LEGO Island 2 (though it's often just called "Ogel" in-game). tl;dr version: The word Ogel itself wasn't first used in LEGO Island OR Alpha Team, it was first used and identified as a planet in the Captain Indigo LEGO comics from the mid 80s, and the only reference to it in-game in LEGO Island 1 is that it's used to activate debug mode, out of the game it's part of the backstory.

    Enable Select Level Menu

Yeah, the thing about the bi-plane minigame...you see, nothing has a timer on it except the plane's normal flight speed. The timer is what tells the game how fast things need to go. But since the plane is the only thing that happens to be timed, everything else runs too fast. When the plane is crashing, it flies at the speed it would if it had no timer. Thus, it's your only option if you want to make it through the level. One way around this is to run Fraps with the frame rate locked at 30 FPS, and record while you play it. This can be done with the free version too.
