In-game Coordinate viewer
Yajmo and 3 others reacted to grappigegovert for a topic
LR Coordinate Viewer I'd like to show you the coordinate viewer I made. It shows you your coordinates when in a race. This may be useful with editing tracks (startpos/object locations) I don't know how to display this in full-screen mode, so you'll have to play in windowed mode for this to work. Screenshot: Download link: https://www.rockraidersunited.com/files/dl-r17/ Note: Does not yet work with the 1999 DRM version. If anyone could send me the correct memory addresses or an image file of the CD, I can update it. UPDATE: New since V2.1: - Force the use of dots as decimal points so you can paste them directly into a binary file. New since v2: - Rotation - Highlightable values for easy copy/paste - One exe for both versions - Option to change pointer if all values show '0' O.T. Also, Hi, I'm new here. I have been following this forum for a while now, but I don't post often on forums.4 points -
ICU (LEGO Island Configuration Utility)
Mr. Eight-Three-One and 2 others reacted to TheDoctor for a topic
No, you don't need an installer. This doesn't warrant an installer. It's more hassle to everyone. This is a very, very tiny program. Some people also don't have permissions to use installers. If you need to put the program in a certain spot, have the user do that. If they can't do that, then they shouldn't be messing with games.3 points -
LEGO Racers Cheat Engine Hacks
Car CrazeXVI and one other reacted to Fluffy Cupcake for a topic
Yes, as some of you may know, I started doing Cheat Engine hacks for this game too. Main display of what I currently have here in this and/or this video. 1999 Version: https://www.box.com/s/avwoj24r1pacbz0rnvzz 2001 Version: https://www.box.com/s/x5a6brmg59pz67stn8wo Readme: As I no longer have the 1999 version on me, I will be discontinuing the 1999 version. Though when I do new releases to the 2001 version, someone can try and find what I did for the 1999 version if they like. And a credit for the idea for originally finding it would be nice if someone does.2 points -

Enhanced Original Biomes
phenix8fr reacted to Cyrem for a topic
The problem with running the game in full screen on a high resolution screen is the textures look terrible. This is exactly the same as the original Rock Raiders biomes however I've enhanced them by up-sizing the textures to 256x256, carefully smoothed and sharpened the textures to give it a much cleaner, less pixelated look. Comparison: That image doesn't really do it justice due to image compression, but it looks a lot better on big resolutions and in FP mode. Tutorial: Add a Permanent Custom Map Slot
BerixMaster2010 reacted to Cyrem for a topic
Installing custom maps to play can be annoying because you have to alter original level's CFG to point to the new level. There is a way to add new levels which has been known for a while, but never really explained much. What this tutorial will guide you through is adding a permanent custom map slot to LRR where you can just slap in CFG code and run the game and not worry about having to change it back after to the original code. This level always remains unlocked and it does not effect your save games. I will also give you some extra files to make it display nicely on your level screen. I've used a worm hole, as you can see below: Setup First, we will need to set up the level link so that it will display. Open your LEGO.CFG file and in the block Lego* > Main there is a property called "StartLevel" with the value "Levels::Level01". Change the value to " Levels::CustomLevel". Lastly, go down to the Levels block. Above the "Tutorial01" sub-block paste in this: CustomLevel { ; CUSTOM CONFIG BELOW ; NEVER REMOVE THE BELOW PROPERTIES! MenuBMP InterfaceFrontEndCustomHi.bmp,InterfaceFrontEndCustom.bmp,InterfaceFrontEndCustomGrey.bmp FrontEndX 72 FrontEndY 2 NextLevel Levels::Tutorial01 LevelLinks Levels::Tutorial01 } This is pretty much a place holder until you put a level CFG in. The game will run fine like this. The properties under " ; NEVER REMOVE THE BELOW PROPERTIES!" Ensure that it will always show the wormhole correctly and that the levels stay linked. If you would like the wormhole, Then download these images and put them in your "InterfaceFrontEnd" folder. Thats it! The one and only problem is that the spoken level names when you hover are displaced by 1 level, but you don't really care about this I would recommend for the sake of ease and consistency that modders creating levels package their level in the level's own folder, so that it does not actually replace default levels.1 point -

Updated to include rotation and some other things! (I'm not entirely sure if the rotation is correct but I think it is) I think it's correct, what makes you think it isn't, if I may ask? And to anyone who can delete files, the files 'LR Coordinate Viewer_681708.zip' and 'LR Coordinate viewer 2001_922489.zip' are no longer in use.1 point -

Belkin Partners with LEGO for Mobile Device Cases
Cyrem reacted to lol username for a topic
Belkin, a creator of technology-related products and accessories, has partnered with LEGO to create official LEGO cases for smartphones and similar devices. The initial product launch will focus on Apple products with iPhone and iPod cases, but cases for more devices and brands will be released later on. The cases themselves are pretty spiffy, with plenty of studs to build on. Here's the iPhone case: And the iPod case: It's worth noting that while several individual groups have created generic "building block" cases like this before, this is the first time LEGO has officially licensed them. Royally Crafted Raceway
alan reacted to Fluffy Cupcake for a topic
Pointer my friend, pointers. Also, I will be releasing it soon, so no need to find it yourself. I really wish I could have it for just a single racer, but when I look for the pointer so that I have one that doesn't change every race, it just finds what writes to a certain position instead. As is Minecraft itself... well, sometimes. Good news all that were/are interested RCR, I started doing more tracks in MC style! So stay tuned to this topic as I will not be making a new topic for each but have them all in here.1 point -

1. Nope.2. If you make the models and the animations right, in theory, yes. 3. Again, animations. In terms of actually doing anything, I don't know. Cirevam would know more. 4. No. It's also a horrible idea. You can't just drain and un-drain crystals at will. If it just drained all the crystals, it would shut down the buildings (which is a terrible idea if you need your support stations). and without a recharge seam on the level, you've just screwed yourself.1 point -
The New SimCity
Mr. Eight-Three-One reacted to McJobless for a topic
Don't buy it, and warn others not to buy it. Don' ever support the DRM efforts of these developers, because you'll notice that they speak in money, and if over-protection costs them huge amount of profit, they'll got one of two ways: Decide the franchise is stale and at fault and can it (Not likely considering sales of previous titles) Decide the DRM is at fault and lower it somewhat1 point -
The New SimCity
The Ace Railgun reacted to Cyrem for a topic
This DRM is filth. The worst I've ever seen. They've built the game with the requirement of internet to the point of getting EA's servers to process work of the game while you play. Always On DRM is equivelent to use buying tokens at an Arcade to play a game... but in addition to that, EA games will be watching you play the games right by your side. And when EA has enough, EA will take away the game AND your tokens. This game will have no longevity, once EA shuts down servers for older games like these, the game will be rendered unplayable. DRM is not being used to "protect" it is being used to "control" the game and the player. No internet = No Game & No Save Games. I was looking forward to the game. I Will not be buying it now. EA needs to get another "Worst Company in the World" award every year until they get the message.... and Maxis, shame on them for designing the game around this model. If EA cared about it's consumers, they'd be listening to the 1000's of people digging a grave for EA. This is practically Sim City Online. What's next, "Login with your Facebook account"? And lets not get started with needing Origin too...1 point -
