Rock Raiders' Tunnel Drilling Machine [v1.105]
Wognif and 4 others reacted to alan for a topic
Hey there! I haven't built anything with LEGO for ages (really!). But yesterday in the evening - when I brushed my teeth - I designed a concept for a Rock Raiders vehicle in my head (yes, yes... a weird place for inspiration). The name of the vehicle is Rock Raiders Tunnel Drilling Machine do you have a better name for it? It is my first LEGO creation in LDD (4.6). The concept is based on these mining vehicles which I know from the movie Ocean's 11 (12?, 13?) where Ocean and his fellows cause earthquakes to damage the statics of the casino. Parts: 810 Screenshots: All the screenshots are broken, better see the images in my gallery For more screenshots and changes go through the thread. I tried my best to keep the classic Rock Raiders style. I would like to hear read some feedback and I hope you like it. If you have any questions about the model (ect.) feel free to ask.5 points -

(Some posts removed) Ben24x7, Stop telling members to get back on topic, especially when the posts are on-topic. If you feel the topic is too far gone, report the off-topic posts (there is a button on the left side of each post to do this). Using this button alerts the moderators a lot faster than posting "get back on topic". It also avoids aggravating members. Creating a topic does not give you 'ownership' or the ability to decide what people can and cannot do in a topic. Proceed.5 points -

The GIFs are in my signature. The ones in my posts (alongside the videos) are used to represent my feelings on a subject, moreso than plain text can do. Instead doing what you're doing right now, which is typing out your feelings and throwing in bold and italics to stress your point, I simply post an image or video which is much more successful at communicating my ideas and thoughts because we are animals who thrive on visual communication. And once again, you have ignored instructions from myself, moderators and the admin.4 points -

And this community's maturity shines through yet again. To be honest, I agree with Ben here. This is complete bulls***, and we all know it. Jobless, you're out of order yet again. I'm sorry, but if you have to INSIST on over-excessive use of gifs and images like that, then you're not helping. You're only fanning this into a flame war. Not exactly the first time, either. Yeah, because THAT helps a helluva lot. I understand doing that with the veterans and regulars of this site, but with newer members? That's just dirty pool. This whole damn thing. ALL of you. With Jobless as the ringleader. It's like The Brony Herd all over again. @ All of you: If you don't have anything useful to say to this thread, and if you're just going to push it into another damn flame war, then I must kindly ask you all to shut the actual f**** up. It doesn't help the community, and I shouldn't have to play Moderator for you all to see this. You're being childish, and it's getting WAY out of hand. Seriously. You should all think twice before you post stuff like that. Especially you, McJobless. I like and respect you as a member and a person, but it's crap like this that baffles me. I'll say it again: GO EASY ON THE NEWER MEMBERS. This goes for all of us here. I personally don't blame Ben this time. It's the community at large that's being the real idiot this time round. You're pushing him, and really, this kind of thing shouldn't happen. We're better than that. Or at least we SHOULD be. Go home, RRU. You're all drunk.3 points -

You can't use ISO with CUE. When you go to save the image, change the format to BIN. The CUE file will automatically be created. Then yes, you'll need to mount it with Daemon or any other mounting software. When you go to mount it, mount the CUE file, not the BIN.2 points -

Alright, fair enough. You've got some good points there. I just hate conflict. Something I've seen on this site far too many times to want to remember. Yeah, I have jumped into the vigilante role many times (Great analogy, btw). And really, what I've said there doesn't help. Which is one of the reasons I'm NOT a moderator. I skim the details, and I then jump in with guns blazing. So I apologize for my constant jumping the gun. Mods, have your way with this thread. I'm out for the night. LMS - Lrr Modding System
benjajb reacted to TheDoctor for a topic
UPDATE: Version 0.1.2 has been released. I'm an idiot and never noticed the code to add d3drm.dll was broken. I'm planing on making a unified modding system for LRR. It's going to be an all-purpose launcher, patcher/mod installer, wad manager, etc. It's going to be written in python, frozen with py2exe for usability. The source and download will be on github. Patchman scripts will be supported. CFG mods will be managed with diff and patch (if I can get it working). If people want, I will even make sure you can play custom music with it. I'll start it out as a launcher, then add modules to it as I go. Anyone who knows python is encouraged to help. Links and updates will be posted here. Current features: Game launching Automatic color depth changing Wad priming Automatic adding of d3drm.dll Telling you off for trying to mod in Program Files Source: GithubDownload: LMS V0.1.2 Currently planned: Launcher Wad management (Priming, manual de/recompiling) Mod management with conflict detection Mod patching (maps, models, animations, etc) CFG patching (if it would quit being stupid) CFG checking Overhaul mode Registry based settings (new) Alternate installer functionality (the disk is obviously required)(new) Possible future additions: Map making and npl scripting In-game custom music playing ??? Please see my Wot I Fink entry on "Maturity". I don't provoke anything. I simply post images relevant to the current situation to the topic. Nobody takes offense to the images themselves, but the message. I could write and it would get exactly the same response. Without intimate understand of what's going on in the PMs or behind the scenes, you can't make assumptions or claims about the actual going-ons of the site. Ben and I are discussing things like this, and it's just a matter of people jumping in a little too fast. You claiming that we're all "ganging up" on members is even worse than this "dirty pool" you're talking about. You're making assumptions that we WANT there to be a fight. We don't. We want civility, and we want to be able to share our mind without fear of being persecuted for "stepping out of line". So don't. It's not your responsibility or your position, and once an actual moderator sees this, they're going to go into overdrive about it. There will be punishments all around, me and yourself included. It doesn't help the community when you're trying to defend the actions of a member who hasn't followed forum rules or staff advice (but will hopefully learn so he can become a part of the family too). McStudz, I have respect for you to, but in the spirit of honesty, I think you sometimes jump into the vigilante role without an understanding of the true problems that lie underneath. I don't want this to rip apart any respect or companionship formed, but I think you need to spend a little more time reading about the entire subject instead of looking at everything on a single post basis. And we are. Some people are just blind to the real issues.1 point -

console and PC difficulty difference
legoracerlover reacted to emily for a topic
I haven't had the opportunity to play the Nintendo 64 version, but I can say that on the Playstation version some of Veronica Voltage's paths are modified in places, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case in circuit mode. After growing up playing the Playstation version of the game, the PC version was, by comparison, incredibly easy for me. For me, this lends credence to the possibility that High Voltage Software may have increased the difficultly for the Playstation port by giving the AI characters more efficient... well, AI. To be fair, though, I think another significant factor in the difficulty level was the different controls.1 point -

i finnaly found my disk now how do i make a digital copy
STUDZ reacted to Cyrem for a topic
It is legal to create a personal backup copy for archival purposes only. Law can also over-ride license agreements if they contradict the law. I have never seen anything regarding in what state that the archived copy must be in. Converting the contents of the disc to a disc image (digital copy) cannot be illegal because you must in some form run the data through a computer system to create a duplicate... creating a digital copy of the data.. If your acquire a digital copy that is not a backup of your legal disc, it is illegal. If you sell your legal disc you must destroy your archived copy. http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-digital.html#backup BIN+CUE creates a more raw and accurate disc image. ISO does not store multi-track data or disc specific information. This is especially important when archiving older computer and console games. An example with LRR would be that if using ISO, you will lose the audio tracks on the PC game.1 point -
