    Brutalmoose on LEGO Island 2

At long last. And for those who didn't see his LI1 video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJhjahvtimo Oh, and he made a video on LR1 as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYa6gl5Kqv4 ... As did Caddicarus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjPn5oxPpSI ... Ok yeah I kinda posted more videos here than Brutalmoose's LI2 one, but whatever. You should watch it.

    Hello

It won't be dangerous with your friends though, McJobless. Plenty for everyone!

Really liked it, sums the game up and most of its problems really well. I think this will be the video I'm pointing people to when I see how much they let nostalgia let them say how "amazing" this game is.

    LDD Multiplayer VS Mode.

So I started pondering how I might squeeze a multiplayer competitive experience out of LDD, and ended up with this amusing result. A turn based vs Mode in which 2 players each build a creation of a specific theme under various constraints. Rules used here: Each player starts off with a minifigure and a seat as positioned. With alternating turns, each player places a single brick to build their creation within the constraints of a theme and possibly additional rules. When a player places a brick, the other player is no longer able to use that specific brick. After 98 turns, where each creation is 50 pieces (minus the minifigure in this case), the game ends. Victor is determined based on peer judging The video replay was just me rapidly undoing the model while recording, and reversing the result. LDD File: Here. Images:

Pete Bogg in the PS1 port.

Sorry with the quality, it was taken from my PSP screen. But as you can see he seems to look like Buck Pounds.

Island Xtreme Stunts - modding/file research topic

I didn't, they are from Cyrem's dump from 3D Ripper DX. I will ask him if he can post it again. There was a cool unused leather jacket texture-- lemme see if it's still on my imgur-- I doubt it... EDIT: I don't think it's associated with anything, much like the orange outfit-- You'd think we would have found the bmb by now. It's in the game files, or it wouldn't have been loaded + ripped. So we must keep looking.

    Hello

Vitawrap, I loaned those pants to Alcom. Who said that you can wear them too? They were so special to him. Since this has to do with sprite pants, I will supply McJobless with a sprite newspaper to do the pants enforcing with. Wield it with pride.

    Oh, dear God...

Everybody on LEGO Island except for the Infomaniac is the Infomaniac. The Infomaniac is just a master of disguise and an evil master of cloning technology who seeks to take over the Island. The Infomaniac is actually the Brickster.

    Tires sinking into ground

What bee got in your bonnet, Car Craze? You just snapped at a new member who was simply posting help for a tech problem, for no apparent reason at all. Meanwhile you complain about other members being rude... Hypocritical much? :|

    Cutscene base

This is exactly right, from what I remember. The cutscenes were started/created before the models had been finalized (and while the game itself was still very much in its infancy), so while it was very easy to update and change the in-game models, there are a number of things in the cutscenes that either didn't make it into the game itself, or that were changed during the game's development.

Maybe he doesn't want to slow down, ya know? It being a racing game and all it shouldn't have a problem like this to begin with. Quit being a jerk, he's just trying to help.

    Chima title secret?

What an interesting secret that LEGO hath hidden so stealthily in the title of their newest franchise "Chima" It is absolutely amazing that one such as you could uncover a secret as cleverly placed as this You should send LEGO an email and ask them when you'll get your payment for figuring it out This is like national treasure with LEGOs

    Scrapped Zones And More

Oh man, you guys aren't gonna believe this stuff... Tom and I talked quite a bit via email today, and Bill Benecke (the concept artist guy) got involved too. They're really great guys, both very friendly, and were happily surprised to hear the game has fans. Here's the rundown. So, I initially emailed Tom and briefed him on the game/theme's status as a well-loved classic in the LEGO community, our progress in modding it, and the various finds regarding LEGO Logic and such, and basically asked if he had any info he could add to this. Boy, did he ever! So yeah, my jaw dropped. I sent an email back, thanking him for the details, and also linking him to this and this as examples of what fans have done with the theme. He loved them, and added that he's gonna try to dig up some more LEGO Logic and Alpha Team development stuff sometime. He also had an amusing little anecdote to share: He also mentioned where some of the other developers are at now, and what their current projects are: He then forwarded my email to Bill, who added the following: And Bill's email reminded Tom of more specific details of LEGO Logic, and then things started really coming together: And finally: I'm so darn happy right now.
