I've come to give everyone my famous drink: Teawater!
STUDZ reacted to Teawater for a topic
Hello everyone! *Offers everyone teawater!* I'm doing it backwards, huh? Since new members are supposed to get welcome gifts, right? Edit: I've actually known about this site for some time, (Even though I never check out what goes on), Anyway, I finally decided to join it. Edit again: I'm from the USA, I found this place because of some other member *cough*cough* I think , I like Golden Sun and GBA/DS hacking, etc.. I also have a project called Yoshi Magic. (Which was supposed to be a Mario & Luigi editor.)1 point -
Can someone tell me what is this?

Worse than that "Pepper skating through a desert" game, or whatever the heck that was? This one, no. But there's a sequel that is indeed more broken than that.1 point -

How To Install LEGOLAND on a 64-bit Computer
Smelly reacted to le717 for a topic
Good to know it worked for you, whichever one you used. And welcome to RRU! I hope you stay a while, you'll find whatever information you want on the classic LEGO games here. First off, please make a new topic in the Support area if the Search doesn't yield any results so the thread can have a chance at staying on topic. Second, what MrEightThreeOne ninja'd me at saying. Running as Administrator sometimes helps with these things. If that doesn't work, please report back with your OS, graphics card, and other system specs so we can better understand how to help you fix your issue. You can do this by opening the Run command (Windows key + r), typing 'dxdiag', pressing the 'Save all information' button, and pasting the contents in a spoiler.1 point -
How To Install LEGOLAND on a 64-bit Computer
Smelly reacted to Mr. Eight-Three-One for a topic
Try running it as an administrator. Right click LEGOLAND.EXE, click properties, go to "Compatibility" and check "Run as administrator". You can also run it as an admin from the right click menu, but doing it the other way makes it so you don't have to do that every time.1 point -

The Simpsons Are Coming, Confirmed Confirmed
STUDZ reacted to PeabodySam for a topic
Fortunately, years ago, I took a screenshot for just such an occasion: And wonderfully written rant, McStudz. It perfectly sums up my feelings towards both the younger demographic of The Simpsons and the declining quality of the show over the years. Saying that The Simpsons is an ideal LEGO product because it's a show that kids enjoy is like saying that South Park or Call of Duty would be ideal LEGO licenses as well. Yes, kids watch South Park and play Call of Duty, but that doesn't say anything about their appropriateness as a potential LEGO product, because those kids aren't the target audience. Kids aren't the target audience of The Simpsons, either. And I know LEGO has licensed PG-13 films such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings, but those are all a completely different genre from The Simpsons - they are all "fantasy/historical action adventures", which has always been something that translates well to LEGO products. Some things are just better off being left to the MOCers, in my opinion. Want to make MOCs based on this show? Go right ahead! But LEGO licensing it, and seeing these products take up toystore shelf space... ah, well, listen to me, a crummy old-fashioned LEGO fan. Sounds like the future of LEGO Simpsons depends on the success of the first wave. As much as I hate to admit it, that younger demographic does probably overlap considerably with LEGO's demographic, meaning these sets probably will be successful, allowing LEGO to milk this license for years to come...1 point -
Reintroducing Myself - It's Been a While
fun reacted to The Brigadier for a topic
Good evening to all you people. You'll probably know me as B2, but I've been away from RRU for quite some time. I've probably been on once in the past year. I've been away for various reasons now, but they're not really up for discussion right now. It's good to be back, I must say. You can add me on Steam if you like, my name is Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewartâ„¢ and I'll get you up to speed. To those that know me and aren't on my Steam friends list, sorry for being away for so long. To those that don't know me, I look forward to meeting you anon. This is Brig signing off.1 point -
Your Username
Lair reacted to McJobless for a topic
I cannot, for the life of me, remember where xx7xxxPowersxx came from. Extreme110 came from me playing NFS: Most Wanted, and in coming up with a username for my 5,000,000th account, I decided I wanted something to match the racers; Extreme. Later, I got my first Xbox and connected to Xbox Live. I tried Extreme as my XBL name, but they wouldn't accept it, but Extreme110 was an option, so I took it. McJobless was something I created for my Year 12 jersey. Not sure if it happens elsewhere in the world, but here you can put your own nickname on your Jersey when you reach your final year. After much debate, that's what I came up with, and I liked the name so much more than Extreme, I used it forever more.1 point
