LEGO Universe Version of Rocket Racer's Car

Not too terribly long ago, in 2011, a contest was hosted on the LEGO Universe website challenging entrants to design their own car based on the standard chassis used in the game. Being a fan of the original LEGO Racers game, I had the idea to build an adaption of Basil the Batlord's car from it to fit the LEGO Universe car chassis. The result didn't win the contest, but I had such fun building it that I resolved to build the rest of the LEGO Racers circuit leaders' cars on the Universe chassis. Some of the results turned out better than others, and when I reached the final car, Rocket Racer's, I decided that it wouldn't be viable for me to construct a reasonable facsimile of the the original with my collection. So I skipped it. Recently I decided on a whim to try anyway. The result was not nearly so terrible as I had imagined, although I still feel that the sloping portion at the front is perhaps just a little too long. More images: Another angle Front Side Back Back Angle Top The modular pieces: The chassis. I cheated a little and altered it from the standard form to make the finished design possible.

    My Lego Racers Car Collection

EDIT FROM NOWHERE: You know how you might get reminded of things from years ago when you're trying to sleep? I suddenly thought about this thread that I posted years ago. Unfortunately, doing little stories and pictures for the remaining cars would take a long time, and I'm lazy! Instead, you can download my save folder below and check out the cars for yourself. Make sure to backup your own save folder first. 100% Save Game ORIGINAL POST BELOW: A couple of years ago, I filled an entire Lego Racers garage (100 cars!). I haven't seen anyone else post their Lego Racers car collection before, so I'm going to do just that! All cars were made with an unmodded Lego Racers, and were created somewhere between 2008-09 to 2011. I haven't seen some of these cars in a long time, so I'm not so sure what to expect! I'll post my thoughts on the car, and a short, improvised bio of the driver and vehicle. They're posted in no particular order, because I'm not sure what the first car in my collection is. ~~~F1~~~ ~~~YAY SHAPES~~~ ~~~Pirate Percy~~~ ~~~Oblong John~~~ ~~~Goddess~~~ ~~~Kahuka Thunder~~~ ~~~Space Age~~~ ~~~Huey~~~ ~~~Royal Pain~~~ ~~~Slopes~~~ END Wow, uh... I wrote a lot. Too much, maybe. I don't blame you if you just looked at the pictures. If there's enough interest, I'll post more cars.

LEGO Racers 2 - Power Stats Data (Driving Speeds)

Alright, after some time of testing, I've managed to gather this data for Power bonuses for LR2, these aren't official from a file or anything, just time and "testing". Please note, 4 and over without engine, as well everything past 10 with or without Engine, is currently unobtainable through unmodified/hacked gameplay. Here it is in image form for your convenience. And here it also is in KPH, for those who don't use MPH. Now you may be asking why I used 100 as a base for acceleration instead of speed final (max), this is because the amount of time it took to reach it, it made the whole acceleration calculations out of whack. *For maximum brick boost speeds, just increase the number by 50%
PowerMax Speed (MPH)Time to 100 MPH (s)Acceleration (m/s^2)Speed w/ Engine (MPH)Time to 100 /w Engine (s) Accel /w Engine (m/s^2)010136.21.212211.93.8111018.62.41299.74.6211813.43.31378.35.4312610.74.21437.36.141339.24.91506.47.051407.75.81565.97.661466.86.61625.77.871536.27.21684.99.181595.68.01734.59.991655.18.81794.310.4101714.79.51843.911.5111764.410.161893.712.1121824.011.21943.413.1131873.811.81993.214141923.512.82043.114.4151973.313.52092.915.4
Thanks for fixing the post formatting JJMB.

One of my personal favs: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/propertime/ This allows you to control the length of day and night. So now we can have super long days, while still keeping night in there, even if short, and not have it just locked on one time of the day. It still works afaik, despite last update date. And if it does not work properly, an update can always be requested. That's what I did before when it stopped working. I don't have any personal favs for multi-world plugins, if we are looking into that.

Seriously, if you're having this much trouble hosting just ask me to do it. I have a server with power to spare. I'm already hosting our heavily modded minecraft server on it, plus other things like SS13 and a spring autohost bot. Oh, and when I say server, I mean server.

"Classic LEGO Games" Getting Mobile Release In Early 2014

Now, I must compromise. The first Star Wars game, it was a good game. I never played the full thing myself, but I did play the PC demo once. It was different, a break from the previous LEGO games. LSW 1 could very well be called a classic LEGO game, not on the same level as the true classic ones, but an actual classic because it was (at the time) a unique game. It's only in hindsight when they've reused and improved the same formula over and over again does the originality of the original game becomes boring, redundant, and almost shovel-ware, leading to disappointment over this news.

    LI2 BOD/BOB Extractor v1.0

You're right. That's very interesting. I would have thought that the game would per-cache all textures when it loads a level, but I guess not I've also figured out that the game will try and use as much content as it can from the extracted folders first, but if it can't find something, it looks in the archives. So you could conceivably just put your modified files in the folders, and leave the rest in the archives. This should make distributing mods a cinch, since a mod author would only have to distribute the files they modify, and the end user could just extract them to their game directory.
