See, this is why this forum is so excellent - we have an epic* admin (well, retired admin) to look up to. You should sit on a rocking chair and gather us all around a log fire, then talk through stories of old and teach us your wisdom. *That was a deliberate choice in words, not because I often use the word epic. The definition of epic in this case being: 'heroic...in character', according to the Oxford Dictionary.4 points -

I was looking through this Brickshelf gallery and I came across this. This was surprising, to say the least. I can't find anything else relating to it. Does anyone know anything about this?3 points -

This is great. Maddox is completely insane. Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4 I just can't stop smiling at the absurdity of this situation. Tim is trapped in a cramped helicopter cockpit that has been completely engulfed in flames. And the entire thing is moments away from exploding and spiraling into a gaping abyss. Can even the most powerful of deus ex machinas save him now? It amuses me that the comic is picking up the tradition from MANIA Magazine where the Extreme-Teamers continually find themselves in life-threatening situations and must be rescued by RES-Q.3 points -

A Question About "Derivative Works"
lol username and 2 others reacted to Cirevam for a topic
The general notion around here is that no one cares how much of a game you distribute for modding's sake as long as you're not including the executable that actually runs the game. Don't post links to copyrighted works that contain executable files (i.e. cracked game rips) and everything will be fine.3 points -

You're just editing WRLs with that mod, right? Then you might as well include the entire file to make it easier on everyone. No one will be able to illegally play LR2 with an edited WRL so it's perfectly fine by my interpretation of the rules. The other mods may fuel-inject with their own opinions but I have a feeling that most of them would agree. If you want harder evidence, no one has said a word that the Time Raiders betas have included absolutely everything needed to play the game except for the executable, ICD file, and a few DLLs that are needed to run the game properly. Sure, I could piece out everything that I made so the download is smaller, but you can't play LRR simply by downloading the mod. That's the question you need to ask yourself when distributing a mod: can this mod, alone or in conjunction with another mod, be used to play the game if I did not already have the game? If the answer is yes, don't distribute it here.2 points -
RRU Minecraft Server

You almost make it sound like you have to select it every time, the last profile you selected is the last one you went on. I can't test the plugin now, but I can do so much later today. Whoops, apologies for that, although I'm sure the current members can all work that out. Also, to whoever is griefing the server: several players are getting very agitated about it, and it really needs to stop. Missing items (although these can and have been mistakes), in addition to placing and taking of random blocks, isn't acceptable on this server. It's meant to be a friendly place for the mature people of RRU to meet up, build, play and share their creations together*. I will be temporarily shutting down the server soon and installing an activity reporting plugin. This will monitor every single action that players take (without impacting server performance, there shouldn't be any lag), and allow players to report griefing. If caught, I may have to ban griefers, which I really don't want to do... So please, stop it now, and enjoy the server along with the others, mkay? *Furthermore, I know this isn't about me, but I do pay for this server out of my own money. Not nearly as much as Cyrem pays for this amazing forum, but it's still not fair that I'm paying for something that is being abused.2 points -

NEW POWER PATHS, MODIFIED ICE-ROCK BIOME Basically, the power paths that the Rock Raiders tend to avoid standing on for too long have been modified to look like you're not supposed to stand there. In addition, any power path completely surrounded by other power paths will now be square. The IceRock biome now has a different floor texture, as well. I'm thinking of modifying the standard Ice biome slightly. And if you noticed, I'm using high-poly Rock Raiders now. The low-poly ones comparatively look terrible. And though it is not visible in this image, I've changed the color of energy crystals slightly to better match their color in the videos and Lego sets.1 point -
Axel's Mod 1.5 (Updated, 4/10/2015)

Update: I've decided to make a 2.0 of this mod. Although I can't say much right now, I intend to do the following: -New biomes -Spider, Scorpions, Snake enabled -Landslides don't instantly kill Rock Raiders (but are still damaging) -Environmental props/scenery (need someone who has Lightwave 8 so I can convert to Lightwave 5 from .OBJ) -More sound effect changes/additions -Modifying the GUI, but not yet sure of the extent -Overhauling map selection screen in order to add more maps -New maps -MAYBE new voice-overs -New creatures (mostly monsters, though, for specific biomes) Some screenshots will be coming within a week. ______________________________ NEW BIOME ______________________________ NEW MAP: Round the Rocks This is the first unique map I've created for Lego Rock Raiders. It's actually really generic, in that the only real goal is to navigate through a maze of hard rock to find an area rich in energy crystals nearby. I hope to make better use of NERPS in the future to create some more interesting objectives. I designed this map specifically for the Rock biome, and it contains some native Rock Monsters and large spiders as well as a flock of bats and some awkwardly placed energy crystals (an issue I will remedy soon).1 point -

I had an email conversation with Dave back in December, he's a really nice guy and had lots of cool stuff to share. Some info on the crazy development of LEGO Island 2... Rock Raiders PS1... There was a canceled Technic video game: Also, it was DDI who originally pitched the idea of a LEGO soccer game, but like LI2, LEGO took the project from the original company and sent it over to Silicon Dreams for actual development - the result being Soccer Mania.1 point
