Hey man that's really sad that he's going through all that. My grandfather had a heart attack in the bathroom and we were too late to find him. He was gone by the time the ambulance came. After that, my grandmother came down with dementia, and she started forgetting who everyone was. She started losing weight and getting old faster in a way that I hardly even recognized her. Then while I was helping my friend move a clock, I got a call from my father and he said that she was bleeding out and they couldn't stop it. They called an ambulance and got her to the hospital, but they lost her in the elevator. Sorry if this makes you feel worse. I was really close to both of my grandparents.
