I was an N64 kid myself. The equivalent of this game was Excitebike 64. Not my FIRST game ever (That title goes to the original Super Smash Bros.), but I discovered Level Creator in a similar way.
Had the N64 for a year, and then I got a PS2. The majority of my early gaming memories came out of that system because I was a kid and never had respect for better games, just the absolute newest (I was the target audience, after all). I would return to the N64 a couple years later to finally play classics like Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64 and GoldenEye (as well as returning to Smash Bros. to TRY and unlock Ness. Never actually did, sadly).
Years passed, and my N64 got sold off by my parents. I still had the PS2 though, and continued to carve memories of gaming (LIXS, SSX Tricky, Kingdom Hearts, Crash Twinsanity, and even the Tony Hawk series have strong memories).
Sadly for me, PC gaming never happened until about four years ago. But still, gaming holds lots of memories for me.
