LEGO Island Press Kit
Brigs and 10 others reacted to Neal for a topic
Jamesster said I should, so I'll post this here; The Album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/nealybealy/sets/72157645472940880 Still have a few things that aren't scanned; a huge LEGO Creator poster, two LEGO Media booklets that advertise some other games, and a few other little promotional sheets. Nothing that important or new there, that's why I skipped them.11 points -

Azarth's Original LR2 Charcter Skins
aidenpons and 3 others reacted to Zed for a topic
This topic is for original character skins that I've created. Some of my skins may not be completely original due to being based off of Lego's concepts, but none of them are a direct Lego Design. Gelidia: Queen Cassiopeia:4 points -
Mars Enhance
noghiri and 2 others reacted to Shadowblaze for a topic
I just did a simple mod for Mars. I always thought it looked a bit dull, so I added some objects here and there to fill the empty spots. It's nothing too complex, just new objects and an alien moved somewhere else. Downloads So, I decided to put two different downloads up: The "beginner" version and the "Compatibility" version. The first one is easier to install, but hasn't got any compatibility with other mods of the game. The Compatibility version is harder to install, but lets you preserve mods that overwrite a WRL file. Beginner Download link: https://ore.rockraidersunited.org/legacy/LR2%20Mars%20Enhance_588621.zip Installation instructions: Overwrite the files and you're good to go. Compatibility Download link: https://ore.rockraidersunited.org/legacy/LR2%20Mars%20Enhance%20%28Compatibility%29_831438.zip Installation instructions: Open MARS.WRL and the downloaded files (MARS.PT1 and MARS.PT2) with an Hex Editor. Copy all the content from MARS.PT1 to the end of the file MARS.WRL; then using the "Find" function of your Hex Editor search for "Antaries" (yep, the developers can't spell), and overwrite all the bytes that follow OBMGcScriptTrigger with the OBMGcTrigger segment that is located in the downloaded file; then repeat the process, but this time with the OBMGcMiniFig that contains the word "Antaries". It's a bit of a complex and twisted process (same goes for the instructions ), but I believe it's worth it. Here there are a couple pics of the most important changes: As I said already, this is a simple mod, and doesn't have really that many changes. So don't come here and rant at me if you don't like it.3 points -

That actually gives me an idea. Placing Professor Voltage on every world, including Xalax would be kind of fun. Maybe hiding him in some otherwise obscure area, giving him a different amusing quip for each location. I'd be up for trying to voice him, too. I'll try and match voice from the LEGOLAND intro the best I can.2 points -

I personally find a whole press release with a piece of previously unseen concept art and a prototype screenshot more interesting than some duplo piece. :PThanks again Neal. I guess we simply have different ideas of what we individually find neat. Hello, TT games.2 points -
LXF to OBJ converter
ProfessorBrickkeeper and one other reacted to JrMasterModelBuilder for a topic
Well, I've been trying to use this thing, but no luck so far. I drag a file over the window, but it doesn't accept the file. The background turns red, I let go, and no conversion. I tried with both a LXF and a LXFML file. On this same note, any chance of a command-line usage? It would be cool to be able to batch convert programatically. Also, I'm curious why it needs the Assets.lif file? Isn't the db.lif that LDD downloads to the Application Data folder more up-to-date? Or am I missing something?2 points -
I'm Racing With A Bunch Of Idiots

I think I finally know why these guys were chosen as other competitors. It was to see if you were dumb enough to endure lots of stupidity before reaching Rocket Racer.1 point -

I'm sorry for not responding sooner. I was considering your question, I simply hadn't come to a conclusion. Anyway, I like the idea of an additional content pack that you've decided to go ahead with. As for Professor Voltage, perhaps he could be a Sparky substitute, seeing as Sparky replaced him. Or maybe one of the minigames could be re-tailored to include him and a mission appropriate to him.1 point -

Axel's Mod 1.5 (Updated, 4/10/2015)
aidenpons reacted to Axel for a topic
So I tried to slightly differentiate (and fix issues with) the two icy biomes: The default Ice biome, above, has been altered so that the lighting (now blue and purple, like the solid rock) is more consistent between wall types. Also, now there isn't the awkward green splotches, most noticeable on the loose rock walls in the center of the image. On the icy-rock biome (specifically created for Search 'n' Rescue, but then expanded to other things), the color scheme is a whitish with some blue - so I desaturated the excessive cyan color from the loose rock walls here and now they look a lot better together, in my opinion.1 point -
Windows 8 x64 bit white window

Since you said that it runs just the sound from the lego logo I'm wondering if the Directx videos are causing some sort of problem? after making backups of them, I suggest decompiling the .wads using wad recycler and then open up your lego.cfg in PSPad. Search the file for "DontPlayAvis" and then to the right of it replace "FALSE" with "True". Save the Lego.cfg file and then re-compile the wads making sure they have the same names as before and are in the same folder. Now try starting up the game again and see if it works. if it still doesn't work still let us know if there was any change in the error.1 point
