@Shadow322, I'd take Xiron's advice here. The things that have been built have been built, and I don't think the work of multiple people over many months of time should be (re)moved or edited just to make room for one or two people's grand plans. You would be better off to start a new town that you can design all you want, and who knows, maybe the spawn point can be moved there in the future.6 points -

So being tired of the current 8 minigiure mess of parts we have to choose from in the default character builder, I decided to do a complete replacement, character builder icons and all, of all the 8 minifigs, and in an orderly fasion too. So, after 2.5 days and 145 file replacements later with a lazy-butt job on the chracter textbox pics, and a tough battle not to use same colored pants due to the constant character roster changing, here is what I got. Some Guy [Pack Exclusive] - Xiron Some Girl [Pack Exclusive] - Xiron Sky Lane (with imporper hair) [Pack Exclusive] - Xiron Pepper Roni - Merdon Rock Raider - Xiron Digger - BadDream Veronica Voltage - jamesster Classic Rocket Racer - jamesster Yes I used Steve's face for Some Guy, and Jan's face for Some Girl, but I did complete their facial animations! DOWNLOAD: http://oresome.rockraidersunited.com/download/264 O.T. Now I shall get back to .exe hacking.5 points -

Goodness, so now Emmet is coping with PTSD. To quote Batman in TLM, "Seriously?" That's not PTSD. That's having your whole existence put into a different perspective. It could allow for a lot of lampshading and meta-humor, or it could go badly. Or they could just go whole hog and make Emmet the Kwisatz Haderach .2 points -

I don't recall doing anything so dastardly in LOCO, but I do remember not putting gates in my fences in Zoo Tycoon 2, placing a zoo keeper in the fenced area with the animals (even tigers), and putting a park bench in the area for the keeper. I kept having issues with then walking out to sit on a bench and never getting their lazy bones up to their work, and for a while that was my most effective way to force then to do their jobs.2 points -
The Brickster Megamix
MaelstromIslander reacted to PeabodySam for a topic
Okay, I honestly have no idea which subforum to post this in. LEGO Island Discussion? Island Xtreme Stunts Discussion? Heck, even Digital LEGO Creations? It's often been noted by LEGO Island fans that "Brickster Boss", the final boss theme of Island Xtreme Stunts, sounds somewhat like a dark reprise or boss remix of "The Jail" from the original LEGO Island. Rather fitting, considering that both songs are meant to represent the Brickster. What happens if you mix the two songs together? You get "The Brickster Megamix". Or, alternatively, "The Brickster Mixter". Because puns. This is something I first started experimenting on with Dino Attack: Legacy, but I never got it to work right. By the time the mix was eight measures in, the two songs had already fallen out-of-sync with each other, which is the technical reason why I fade the mix out by that point. It didn't help that the recording of "The Jail" was rather compressed and low-quality in comparison to "Brickster Boss". This time, I decided to use the unused higher-quality recording left unused in the game's data. With the crisper audio quality, I found it easier to determine and adjust its tempo in order to match that of "Brickster Boss". "The Jail" is only barely over a minute long, while "Brickster Boss" is over four minutes. As such, I had to loop several sections of "The Jail" in order to cover the length of "Brickster Boss". Since the unused version of "The Jail" has no ending, I did borrow the final notes of the in-game version to end the mix. The syncing still isn't quite perfect and there are some parts where one song overpowers the other, but overall I'm very satisfied with how this turned out.1 point -
Mindstorms Robo Sports?

They're unrelated to each other. The first is a disc with a bunch of demos, trailers, etc for LEGO games on it. Brickulator uploaded an ISO of the one in that eBay listing: (Brickulator's disc is DM1G-GEN5, and while the pic in that eBay listing isn't the best quality, comparing it to a pic of Brickulator's disc, they look identical - unless there's like a single number or digit's difference in the ID or something. The ID length and printing design are the same though.) The second one... It's not exactly hard to find out what it is... http://lmgtfy.com/?q=lego+mindstorms+robo+sports1 point -

Alright guys. Slow it down. With all these huge plans you guys have, and with all the moving, removing, and mountain destroying required, why not just start building in a new area? Maybe make a new town If the old area gets too bogged down and messy, and if a brand spanking new town or other area comes along that is improved, the spawn point can always be relocated, it isn't a fixed point. Ghost towns are always nice. HALT! Only mods and beyond are allowed to write the rules. You are not permitted to paraphrase it at all. Should you think they could use some cleaning up, request a mod or JJ to do it; As someone once told me, re-writing what someone else once wrote "opens [the chance] for personal interpretation".1 point -
ISLAND 2.0 - A Lego Island Inspired Music Album
Snig reacted to Druaga for a topic
Hey guys, I haven't posted on this site before, so hopefully it's appropriate for me to post this here. https://druaga.bandc...album/island-20 The middle of last year, I released my album, ISLAND 2.0 on Bandcamp. It's free for anyone to download (just click "Buy Now" and enter $0 to download for free or just listen to it in your browser.) My original goal was to have every track have something to do with Lego Island in some way. This is the result of that endeavor. If you're a fan of trance, electro, synthpop, house or just electronic music in general, then this might interest you. Here is a list of the tracks with the parts of the game they were inspired by: 1. Intro - Uses the bassline from a short sound clip from Lego Loco (yeah that one), not exactly Lego Island, but it's only 30 seconds long and still somewhat Lego related. 2. Dial 'i' For Insanity - Infomaniac/Information Center music. 3. Closed For Remodeling - The Super 2 never re-opened, and we're not sure why. 4. Gnarly, Dude! - Snap Lockitt/Beach Music 5. The Best Park Ever - Lego Island's Park/Park Music. The park is so bland and uninteresting (save for the Legandos) So I made it into a crazy house track (possibly channeled from the minds of the Legandos themselves). 6. KEEP OFF THE GRASS! - You can't walk on the grass. Many share my frustration. 7. ARPANET - This track isn't really related to Lego Island, but still pretty cool. I could see it being inspired by the final helicopter music or something. 8. Hidden Machine - This track isn't really related to Lego Island either, but I could see it being a combination of the cave music and hospital themes. 9. World's Fastest ATV - Octan Gas Station Music/The ATV/Quad/Jeep/ Truck Vehicle or whatever it's called. This song specifically points to the vehicle driving all over the island by itself when you jump out at high speeds and the subsequent wonderment, mystery and, at times, even fear after witnessing such a spectacle. 10. PIZAZ - Need I say more? 11 . Terminal Velocity - This one is actually inspired by the Lego Island 2 skydiving levels. There was work being done on a hospital and police station track, but they never came to fruition. Remember, these aren't remixes or covers of tracks in the game, they are just songs that popped into my head when I thought back to the game. I actually didn't listen to any of the music from the game itself while making this. Hopefully some Lego Fans out there can enjoy what I did here and I hope that this isn't out of place for being my first post or for this site in general. Have a good one, guys!1 point -
The Culture of the LMB (A Satire)
Lair reacted to Brigs for a topic
Last week in my writing class I was given an assignment to write a satire to "criticize people's stupidity or vices." As a rational LEGO fan, I decided the logical place to start is the intellectual cesspool known as LEGO Message Board, or LMB. Naturally it was most effective to project the LMB as a primitive human society, called the "Elimbie." (See what I did there?) Oh, and I should probably mention that the LMB Moderators would NEVER approve the entirety of this post, rejecting the latter half because "Your post might be considered offensive to others. Please help us keep the MBs a fun place for everyone to be! Despite being a satire, users can still feel offended my some parts of it." Boo-hoo. Just this afternoon, they rejected the first half of this post after approving it, because, "Your post might be considered offensive to others. Please help us keep the MBs a fun place for everyone to be! Users might feel offended by this satire as they think it is real. It is mentiones the LEGO MB in it and therefore is too real." Thus I refrain, Boo-hoo. By the way, did you notice the eloquent spelling and grammar these mods have? The Culture of the Elimbie By Professor Brigs Bastille These past few years I have observed a nearby community isolated from all sanity, logic, and reality, which residents call the “Elimbie;†the people of this society refer to themselves as “Elimbiers.†The people of this society are remarkably infatuated with their established mythology, the center of their culture. The Refugee Department of Sanity has recently declared the Elimbie community a Mental Disaster Site. The society exists in a state called “LEGO,†within a hostile region of the World Wide Web called the Commercial Domain. It is located three tabs east of the Home; from there one takes the redirect to the LEGO Message Board (LMB). Recreational activities in this society may cover a range of subjects, such as storytelling, theater, and prolonged discussions on a variety of issues. The most frequent topics for discussion are clichés in the mythos, the relationships between mythical figures, and the opining on superstitious rumors. In storytelling, the narrator will typically set their anecdote’s foundation upon conventional mythological lore, but with a distinctive (and characteristically absurd) plot. It is not unusual for the speaker to insert new characters into the story, including himself, complete with extremely unrealistic abilities. According to tradition, the inserted character will subsequently meet mythic heroes, and preform some implausible feat. Elimbie discussions can be quite incomprehensible to the unaccustomed listener, as they speak an extremely devolved form of English; many in the community possess immaturely poor grammar and pronunciation, not to mention their neglect of critical accents. Frequent users of onomatopoeia, the Elimbiers enjoy denoting sounds, particularly explosions. The people are known to yell extensively and make bizarre facial expressions to convey a point. As an example of the latter, in accompaniment of a humorous, sarcastic, or absolutely ridiculous statement, the speaker will stick his tongue out at his listeners. For some reason, this expression generally does not offend onlookers. At the end of a conversation, the speaker will typically say his name, recite a quote of personal significance, and frequently express his religious affiliation. The elite of this society are the moderators, who are tasked by the government to inspect the community for individuals critical of the orthodox mythology or anything in general. They compose the most highly esteemed class in the Elimbie community, as they make all official announcements. Public polls query the population on superficial topics, however there has yet to be democratic voting for government office. Acclaimed commentators and storytellers are highly admired in the culture for their insights and legends, and they have been known to consult with the moderators. Clearly the non-civil Elimbie civilization is mentally hazardous, and obviously unfit for children. The Refugee Department of Sanity has released a public statement discouraging travel to this “Intellectual Wasteland,†as their research proves exposure to the Elimbie can greatly decrease an individual’s IQ, and frequenters to the community will likely suffer irreversible brain damage. Parents are urged to avoid exposing their offspring to the Elimbie at any cost; Children exposed to the community at a young age may eventually never leave, trapped by mind-numbing conversations in an eternal state of stupidity.1 point -
