Updated, version 0002 is out! Check out the first post to play it, it may take some time to appear as I haven't made a preloader yet. Now the game has visuals, the player can be idle, there are sound effects (I took these from freesfx, it's full of free commercially-usable sfx), DM's music is in the background, and there's a new font. Next I'll be adding jump functionality, Mael's enemies and the trampoline.3 points -

An editor like that would be perfect, it would need a layer type function for buildings/spawns etc but would fit the job nicely. Here's the first screenshot of the Player HUD, I'm quite happy with it at the moment, I may make some small changes depending on what I need to add but overall I think it works. The stars upgrade image represents XP, XP is gained through dropping off resources. The Cyan crystal and ore icons on the top right represent if you're carrying one of each or not. The ore and crystal underneath next to the XP counter is the Global resources. The health cross empties when you take damage. Chat on top left, I will likely remove the current notifications displayed, also rejigger the colours. And those with a keen eye will noticed the new building on the right, it is off a Rock Raiders set which I've purposed for being the interface for constructing buildings.2 points -

Hello, As a thank-you to the community here for helping me get the game running again on a modern PC, I'll be posting some images from the development of the game. I'll start at the very beginning: the pitch! The following images were created as we were pitching the game to LEGO Media. The original concept was pretty clear from the beginning: it was LOCO meets Micro Machines. We iterated on these images as you'll see below. The original name and logo we whipped up for the pitch. The game kept the name for much of the development period. Probably the very first mockup. Here we are just exploring the view angle, car size on screen, what kind of information to show on screen, that sort of thing. UI Mockups Some vehicle ideas. The original pitch included quite a bit of customization to the car - the player would be able to tweak springs, rubber bands, tyres, etc. for optimum car performance. Character profiles - we all loved the punk guy from LOCO. Early ideas demonstrating the in-car camera view. First sketch for the workshop. More to come!1 point -

What's this? An IXS comic? Why yes! I kid you not, this comic took me the whole day to make (not exaggerating), and I scripted it out yesterday. The posing, render times, the figuring out how to do X thing in program, writing out the text in a way that was readable and distinguishable, it does chew away quite a lot of time all this. So, don't expect me to pull out a comic every few days, likely only every once in a while. Edit: On average it takes me 12 hours to make a regular sized comic. The white writing underneath are just quick animation notes. One thing I'd suggest, if possible, is to loop the two pictures in the "Floating" bit when the character falls/flies/etc. As for the game's current progress, I finally got around to playing it, and its on a good path from what I see.1 point -
