Retro LEGO Comics/Storybooks/Animated Cartoons General Discussion
Sadie Meowsalot and 6 others reacted to spacepals for a topic
Hello! My first time posting on RRU haha :'-) I think I might have popped into the chat at the very beginning of making my account, and mentioned that I had ordered the German version of Jim Spaceborn 2. WELL, over a months waiting, it's finally here!! I couldn't be happier, it's in very nice condition! I was wondering if it would be alright to upload scans to here (once I have them complete which I plan on doing either tonight or tomorrow)?? I can absolutely upload scans of the pages (as long as it is okay)! Also, I'd like to take this time to really thank Sadie Meowsalot, Pereki, anyone and everyone (Im still a lil new and not know everyone by their names.. forgive me if I have forgotten anyone aa) who has ever contributed to Jim Spaceborn and uploading info... This probably sounds really silly to say here, but this comic series and everyone involved has helped me so much and changed my life, it would leave me feeling guilty if I didn't say thank you to everyone who has worked so hard... I can't say thank you enough! I would also love to help preserve and share as much as I can about this comic by helping upload and translate the content I have. Apologies for getting a little sappy... I honestly just can't thank everyone enough, this comic has won such a special place in my heart over the past year after discovering it, I don't know where I'd be without it (I really don't!). So once again a huge HUGE thank you to everyone here and further extended thank yous to Frank Madsen of course for making it all possible :'-) ok I am finished being emotional haha oopsie7 points -

Well now we know who took Graphics as an A-Level Anyways, I'm guessing that more info about this game (and possibly a trailer) will surface at E3 next week. Hopefully by then the website will be live too. Haha, I actually did as well, although I wasn't too great. My brother is in his final year of graphic design at university though so I ask him for advice on anything art-related. Yes, I really hope it will be at E3, I'm getting more and more excited about the game every time I look at this topic. This is when we find out it's just a rehash of LEGO Fusion...2 points -

Whatever this is, boy am I looking forward to it! It could be in homage to LEGO Creator. However, from a graphic design point of view, given that the digger is yellow and black it's quite likely that the creators of the image chose those colours to match and work together pleasingly. Primary/secondary colours work great in that environment, particularly given their connotations, and LEGO doesn't produce purple or orange bricks as predominantly. Just a point on that note, although I personally think it is harking back to LEGO Creator. I imagine it's just a render and not representative of the actual graphics - from what I can tell, TT Games have always had rendered/CG covers. Although there are mods for Minecraft, for example, that produce that level of quality, but it requires a very powerful computer and it's unlikely TT wouldn't include lower graphic settings.2 points -

How about a comparison between this poster and Lego Creator's game box cover? If there is any similarities I can find, I did notice that the colour of the bricks on the diggers of both images are exactly the same; Red, Green and Blue.2 points -

Okay, I'm gonna try for 10 pages a day, and get this knocked out quick. Here are the first ten. Sadie might've mentioned better copies without text coming eventually that would be better to actually add the text to (or maybe it was these layouts) but in either case I'll hold off on that daunting task for now. However vague the image in question may be, I can't help but feel some level of anticipation for it, for better or worse. I know it's not a good idea to say this just yet, but I'd wager it's the most immediately optimistic I've been for a LEGO game from TT since LCU. Once again, it's important to remember that it's TT Games we're talking about, but it definitely seems to have some of the same DNA as the older LEGO games. (I'm looking at you, Creator!) I expect that I shall be closely following the development of this in the future. (The only thing of immediate concern to me, is that it appears that by building, they may just be referring to the placement of prefabs. It wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me, but I wouldn't help but feel somewhat disappointed.)1 point -

Yea, I'm late too. Usually I try to be more active in welcome topics (I've been slacking a lot). I'm just the neighborhood bowtie-wearing, triangle-loving, living reference guide programmer. I like code and sometimes do Let's Plays of silly games. Right now I am masquerading around as a bowtie, and have a known history of converting into a LEGO Fabuland cow. I love racing video games, and LEGO Racers is one of my favorite games. I do not bite, but I do have a tendency to kid around and can create crazy ideas. I'm very logical and sound-minded and do actually take things seriously (unlike a certain old tongue-smiley loving member who shall not be named (aidenpons). I do believe you will get along just fine with everyone here, and welcome to RRU.1 point -
