LEGO Island REDUX

Well, I spent a bunch of time this week getting this blasted radio done and fixing all the issues I had with the holes in it (yes those black ovals aren't flat). I can say though that I have learned a few things this week from this. And now for the final view of the room: The ceiling is a bit dark, but that's mainly due to indecent lighting. The main things you may notice is that the door is a bit taller than it should be (although less studs than original) and the amount of studs on the blue walls between the wall map are much less as well, this is because I'm being more accurate then the game is itself and I'm not being as manipulative with the stud sizes. I'm glad to finally be moving on to a different room now. Criticism is still welcome.5 points -

LR2 Custom Car Unpacker
aidenpons reacted to Quisoves Potoo for a topic
A few days ago, I was alerted, thanks to Firedude34, to a conspicuous, yet easily filled, gap in the LEGO Racers 2 tool library. It is thus that I present, for your entertainment and edification, the LEGO Racers 2 Custom Car Unpacker ("CCDU.") Download Instructions Download and extract CCDU.zip Locate your LEGO Racers 2 "SaveGame" file, which is normally situated in DocumentsGamesLEGO Racers 2Saved Games. Drag the file to "CCDU.exe", and voila! All your custom cars (.CCD files) have been extracted. You will find them in the folder "[save-file name] Car Files" Notes: If an Adventure Mode car is present for a particular world, a duplicate exists (last among the car files for that world.) This is a peculiarity of LEGO Racers 2. I deemed it most convenient for the program to overwrite any preexisting custom car files, should they share their names with those being extracted. Thus, if you intend to unpack your save-game once more, and want to save an already-unpacked car for later, you must either move it to another folder or change its file-name. Program written in Python and compiled via Py2EXE. And special thanks to Xiron, for listing the offsets of certain .CCD files, thus making the naming feature a synch.1 point -

Yes I did... Something something blender, something something incomplete. Tread width should be closer to 2, rather than 1.8 This took me quite a while to make. I am only a beginner with 3D modelling.1 point -

Modded Lego is an anomaly. He is currently being detained at Area 51 never truly existed. Those screenshots he posted were just weather balloons. Move along.1 point -

I always got excited as a kid seeing mask powers in use, and this thing's got 7 of them in a row! Absolutely delicious. Great music, great matching of soundtrack and animation. Thank you Pereki and thank you Kaplan.1 point -

Small correction: bug three should read "Passing a folder path throws a PermissionError", e.g. "CCDU.exe C:UsersFolder". Maybe you knew what I meant, but better safe than sorry. Sweet. Seriously, I am looking forward to reading your source code. It's odd, but I often like to see the code of beginners. It gives me as a "teacher" (hahaha ), tutorial writer, and programmer an idea of the common mistakes and failures beginners make, and where I can work to help prevent those mistakes. So don't start trying to make your code all "right" or anything because I said this. I am not going to judge you or stuff like that, just simple observation and analysis.1 point
