    ◄[LR2] Voiced Scripts►

Alright so who's ready for a progress update? I'm sure you all are. Here's a list of the scripts that are currently complete and what isn't: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PZpHzQHTX33U31ePO4I18n-P5jxid7J-ZCTS_MshzX4/ I'm not sure about @Oboe Shoes, but I'll be updating this list whenever I get one done. If you want to help and join us two guys in scripting, drop me a message! (I can help you learn too)

    Nexus Farce: IoI Vignettes

Chapter 3 - Albert "Pants Party" In all of its glorious inebriated splendor. This one's my indisputable favorite of the batch. Notion Potions are actual consumables in LEGO Universe. I represented it with this obscure piece in trans-medium blue, which works surprisingly well. Anyway, this acid trip is the spawn of the progenitor to this story, which was originally titled "Expedition". Albert had a really depressing and cliche-ridden backstory that surpassed the nebulous PG rating back then, which this parodies in an only slightly less objectionable form. But enough of that; the morality police may be surveilling us!

    I'm a Dinosaur

Yes, it is possible to be other things in the game, animated or not. I forgot to replace the turning animation unfortunately, which is why you see the minifigure head appear when turning. Those subscribed to me probably saw this 2 year old video already (wow that long ago?)

    LEGO Club Comic Captions

You may remember this minifig rock concert if you've ever visited the LEGO website during the mid 2000s. This was the display image for the Club Comic Captions. It was a monthly contest where club members could enter a caption for a blank image. At the end of the month, the winner and honorable mentions were revealed. It ran from June 2002 until 2008 IIRC. I managed to find some winners using the WayBack Machine, but there are still many more that I can't access. The captions were often funny to read, but I was also really fascinated by some of the images. Below are some blank photos I could view. Although I never won, I did submit a few of my own captions during 2007-08. I wish I could show more of these. Unfortunately, they are no longer on the club site.

Actually that's a rather long story! Terrev has a nice summary here.

    GBA Island Population

Those character card renders just reminded me of a strange texture I ripped from IXS years ago - I have no idea where it came from. There's a grumpy guy who looks like Mr. Cunningham; he lives next to the multiplayer clubhouse across the street from Pepper's. I also noticed a girl who perfectly resembles this character, a guy who looks like Jimmy in IXS, and another girl who looks similar to a background character in the IXS movie. Cool! I actually didn't get that for a while. I originally thought that Pepper sarcastically called the patient "Lucky" because they couldn't go to Castle Island.

  11. It would be nice to have a patcher that can do this automatically with selections on what to patch. It's a bit confusing doing it manually when you're not sure how to use the tool.

  13. I built it. Yep. I know, I have no life...but it's so beautiful... Okay, so maybe not from the outside...but you can't tell me that THIS isn't a sight. All credit goes to Arthuriel for his awesome LDD bridge model which I followed down to the brick. Until I realized how many things couldn't be done with real Lego that is. I had to make several modifications in order to allow the windows and the elevator section to connect to the main bridge. I also had to lower the floor by the elevator doors in order for them to fit correctly. All in all, I made at least 35 Bricklink orders over a span of the last five months, and it took at least 15 hours to build the sections and connect them in a way that would insure that they were all on the same level. I know that if Lair ever sees this post, he'll give me a bunch of crap about not having Chief's chair in the model, but in my own defense, I didn't feel like painting a chair in a color that wouldn't quite match Dark Turquoise. I'm also considering adding a Brickstuff lighting kit for added effects. Anyway, the gallery with more photos is here. Oh, and I apologize to anybody who wanted a decent quantity of Dark Turquoise 2x2 tiles off of Bricklink...because they're almost all gone.

Aw man, those japanese commercials are great, the little bits of stop motion in there really add a lot. Having the stories from the comics and audio dramas told in that format would be awesome. Though, we did get this, which is pretty cool: (The story starts at 30 seconds in)
