I've never been told this, and never knew about it before, so I assume it is not well known. So here I am to share my knowledge! Unfortunately, I believe this is for Windows users only. Anyhow... Ever wanted a easier way to preview the .MIP files than from a viewer? Well, I've found a way! However, Windows Vista & 7 support is not mentioned. A user of those, please let me know how it works out for you okay? You'll need: http://sourceforge.net/projects/sagethumbs/ *Funnily enough, this borrow's XnView's library, which is the program I was using before. 1) Install it 2) Open Up The Options (you should be able to find it in Start Menu search) and add "mip" to the customs area. 3) Press Ok and wait for it to finish its stuff. Reboot of explorer.exe may be required. You should now be able to view all MIP files directly from your windows browser like so. Enjoy!

Quick note on Commissioner Gordon. In the trailer, Barbara Gordon is stated to be the new police commissioner. In that Scuttler set, there appears both Barbara Gordon and "Commissioner Gordon", as billed in this USA Today article. Evidently Barbara is an established character in the Batman universe, who is the daughter of the senior James Gordon. Interestingly, this seems to be the first incarnation of Barbara to follow her father's profession and become Commissioner herself. Looks neat, but I hope the writers don't force in the obligatory romantic subplot between Batman and Barbara (...who traditionally seems attracted to an older incarnation of Robin. Huh). ...I just noticed we're getting some weird new parabolic elements with those balloons with the Joker's thing. And Kiteman in that trailer shot.

Whoops.... no reply. Sorry. I think I intended to look into what $basetexture was at the time because I wasn't sure what you meant back then (you use this command in all your .vmts Xiron, duh), but then I forgot to. I used $texturegroup skinfamilies in the .qc to set a bunch of different textures/skins the model can change to. There is a way in SFM to make it so you can animate (change) the skin on any frame you want, but I won't get into that here unless you want to know more.

Just to give you an idea of what this is. It's a Work-In-Progress Dirt Wall texture for a revamped ROCK biome. If I'm satisfied with this kind of thing, all biome textures, including those on scenery objects, will be getting this treatment. Suggestions welcome! ^_^
