It actually has no upgrades implemented in the final game, so maybe it was planned but they realized it couldn't be done, or it was pointless and they forgot to update the manual. A bigger cargo hold means nothing when it can only hold as much ore as the pilot can carry. It would be different if we could trawl for ore and crystals at the bottom of lakes. Nah, no drills, you need LASERS:1 point
