A new map came to my mind about a month ago. I let the idea grow a little until I was ready to create the map layout, which was 2 weeks ago. I nearly finished the map on friday and playtested it. I wasn't happy with the result (yet) - it was too small in my opinion. So I edited it again yesterday and about doubled the size. Of course I share it with you guys. Just like the original developers liked puns in level names, this one is called Cunning Canyons Back Story: Located in the same geological fault like Rock Hard (Level 13), this level continues just as narrow. The cave system is very complex. Following the gravity, the groundwater finds its way through cracks from Rock Hard down to Cunning Canyons. This is why Rock Hard is a rather dry cave system compared to Cunning Canyons: The groundwater formed rivers and the rivers carved canyons into the muddy rocks, leaving sedimentary deposits full of resources. Because dry and even ground is very rare in this cave system, it will be a special challenge to plan your head quarter layout. Nontheless the resources in the sediments are mandatory for our way home. Map Objective: Collect 85 energy crystals. Difficulty: Medium Extra Challenge (CAUTION: SPOILER) If you want to play the level your own way first, I suggest you not to open the spoiler. Installation Instructions: As the back story already mentions, this level will be located right below Rock Hard (Level 13), between Ice Spy (Level 15) and Split down the middle (Level 16). You need to win this level besides Level 15 and 16 to continue with Lava Laughter (Level 17). Of course Cunning Canyons comes with a custom map icon as well. When using DATA method, place the folder "CunningCanyons" into Data\Levels\GameLevels\ as indicated by the folder structure in the zip file. After that, open Lego.cfg located in the Data folder of your LRR installation. Scroll down to the levels section, beginning with Levels { ... . Copy lines 5-94 of the zip file's Lego.cfg into LRR's Lego.cfg between two levels. After that, search for "Level12 {" in LRR's Lego.cfg to get to Level12's section: Change the NextLevel and LevelLinks as shown in the zip file's Lego.cfg. Repeat this step with Level13, Level14 and Level15 (search for "Level13 {", "Level14 {" and "Level15 {"). DOWNLOAD Have fun

So here is a Solution how to run Lego Rock Raiders on Win10. I tested that way on three differently Computers with Windows 10 and the German/English Rock Raider Game. Please download THIS. First of all, you need to install the game with the "Setup.exe" which you can find in the root directory of your CD. Run the Setup and install the game. After that, you go to the install directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\LEGO Media\Spiele\Rock Raiders" (for the german installation) and paste the "D3DRM.DLL" from my ZIP file in that directory. Now you make these Steps: right-click on the "LegoRR.exe" file and choose "Properties" select compatibility select 16 Bit Mode select 640x 480 resolution Click "OK" Copy the "rr-fix.exe" from the download to the left upper corner from your desktop. Yes, it is important that you copy it in THAT corner. Clear your desktop as much as possible. well done Now you should start the game with the "LegoRR.exe". Select the same like in this screenshot: and hit the "OK" button. The game starts now but in an ugly window mode.. Start my "rr-fix.exe" with a right click and "start as a admin" and you should be able to play the game now in a wonderful Full-Screen mode. Let me know if this way works for you.

Fun fact: if you want to win the plane bit on Win10 you must collect every fuel can, and then in the last stretch just bang against the side wall - while the "plane spins and returns to center" animation is playing no fuel is drained Back to Basics is probably the hardest level in the entire game, although Lake of Fire is also fiendishly difficult. (Water Works is difficult for all the wrong reasons ) However Lake of Fire doesn't unlock anything and Back to Basics unlocks the final level. The main strats for Back to Basics are: 1) Ignore the south and solely mine to the right. There are enough - in fact, more - crystals over to the right, and they're easier to get. 2) To avoid the slug script, spam Small Mobile Laser Cutters to keep your crystal count down, as the number of slugs is tied to the number of crystals. Then spamteleport them up and hope you get 45 before you drain them. 3) Teleport up the Tool Store, which prevents crystals from draining 4) Wall off slug holes like so and abuse the terrible slug AI Rocky Horror, by comparison, is absurdly easy. I'd class Frozen Frenzy as more difficult than Rocky Horror due to a) the early Ice Monster and b) the caverns stuffed full of landslides. You could have fished outro1.avi out of the AVI folder, but that's not the same... Fun fact: there's another video that plays (outro2.avi) when you complete Rocky Horror with a score of 100 on every level, but this is entirely impossible in vanilla due to Run the Gauntlet requiring 40 crystals for max score I only got LI2 much later so it was straightforward, but still fun, for me to complete.

Has to be LI1. It is literaly the first video game I remember and oh man do I love the whole package of whacky animation, classic LEGO aesthetic, crazy music, and weird sense of mystery. I keep returning to it through the years, and always have a blast. I even created several LEGO Radio playlists for when uni gets me down (LEGO Radio segments + OST + whatever else I feel like if anything, currently classic bionicle themes from MNOLG and co). Nice mix of being not distracting so I can work and uplifting nostalgia. Other games that are significant for me are LI2, because of my personal history with it, and LRR. I played LI2 pretty young and got stuck on the fishing minigame because I just didn't get it. A few years later (still young, but on my own proper laptop for the first time) I tried again and made it. On the plane bit I got stuck again, but persevered. Even though LI2 is a pretty easy game, finally after years (roughly a third of my life-span at the time!) playing through it was a gratifying achievement. LRR is a similar story, only I just finished it a few months ago after being stuck on the level before the final one for my entire childhood. Seeing the final level and cutscene after all this time was a special moment for me, one that I have this forum to thank for.
