  2. (2020-08-31) It's been a long while, but today the largest update so far drops for Manic Miners! The vehicles are here, together with an extensive miner customization system and many surprises and improvements. Dive in and re-live an almost-complete Rock Raiders remake today! The only thing missing are the monsters... so stay tuned! Thank you for following development! My favorite LR1 and LR2 custom cars (+render)

Here are some of my LR1 cars: This one is basicly a carbon copy of Turbo Charger's car, I used it to quickly beat the game (under two hours, including time trials, yay) This one reminds me of one of the pre-constructed mars hovers in LR2 A rally-ish car I used to use back in the days

    Mighty Miners

New Alpha, and this one's a pretty big step forward! You can get it here: https://www.patreon.com/file?h=30169700&i=4479614 Alpha 1.5 adds 7 more vehicles to the game, bringing the total up to 10 of the 12 planned for the final version! Every vehicle except for the two laser-based ones are in the game, including the Levi Lifter, Mighty Miners's version of the much promoted but never playable Tunnel Transport! With seagoing and aerial vehicles now in the game, levels that were previously unbeatable due to needing to cross water or lava can now be cleared, making this the first build of the game where every single level planned for the final version is not only included, but beatable. Finally, the criteria for placing buildings has been changed. Previously, buildings had to be placed on regular ground, and the front-most tile that would not contain the building itself but instead provide access to the building had to be adjacent to a regular power path that was not already part of a building or providing access to a building. Whenever I got people who weren't already familiar with Rock Raiders to try previous builds of Mighty Miners, they unanimously got tripped up regarding what exactly they needed to do in order to actually place a building. It just wasn't intuitive at all - just look at how much of a mouthful it was to explain it above, and those who don't already know what I'm talking about are probably still scratching your heads! The new system is that buildings can only be placed on top of already built power paths, and no longer care about what's adjacent to any of their tiles; only the tiles that the building will actually be placed on matter. You still can't make use of a power path that's already housing or providing access to an existing building, but the game is more upfront about telling you "hey! this tile's occupied and that's why you can't use it". The weirdness of building a power path to place a new building next to but only in a particular way has been replaced by a system of building paths to serve as the foundation for each new building, which should hopefully be easier to intuitively understand for new players.

A little inspiration won't hurt, though my creative skills are a bit limited.

This mod can help you step outside the limitations of being world bound if you desire to expand your creative options within LR2.

    The (slightly disturbing) Running Man

Jeez, didn't think I'd be digging up this topic so soon, but I'm afraid I've got some bad news. Our dear friend, the (slightly disturbing) running man, has recently announced that he's developed a new physical defect/disability. We're not entirely sure how this happened (maybe it had something to do with his years-long absence, I don't know, but it might explain why he looks a little... dead), but somehow his calves have merged together: [ Photo of the titular "running" man and his new disability ] [ Photo taken on the 09/09/2019 - Image courtesy of Ben24x7 ] Doctors have suggested that the "running" man can only get rid of this horrific condition by living a more active/healthy life-style, mainly by joining local sports clubs or gyms. He struggled for the first few weeks, hindered by his inability to run (or even walk), but he seems to have found some luck at the "Disgruntled Underpaid Farmers Potato Sack Racing" club. At the rate he's going, he might even become the world champion of Potato Sack racing, possibly reaching a podium finish at the upcoming international 2020 Potato Sack racing championship (I mean, it's not the most ridiculous thing he's ever done or achieved). Nonetheless, we wish him all the best in his recovery, and hopefully we'll get to see him run free again... in a slightly disturbing manner. P.S. Apparently, due to his new disability, he's been thinking of legally changing his name to "The (slightly disturbing) scooting man". P.P.S. Thank you @Arthuriel for inspiring this artwork/announcement breaking the news on Twitter:
