SilentShadow
I had been playing LRR and it had worked fine with a few crashes, but now whenever I try to play the level "Lava Laughter" it freezes and I have to start task manager and end it. The only error message I could find was "dplayerx.dll is not responding. I'm playing on vista with 16 bit colors, at 600x800 res. The game saves, exits, and behaves just fine until I try to play this level. Ideas?
Anonymouse
Hmm... 600x800? That's an odd resolution, did you mean 800x600? LRR always runs in 640x480, no matter whether it's windowed or fullscreen, changing the resolution automatically if running in fullscreen, I don't think we've ever had this error before... *sigh* new addition. You've tried all the things in the FAQ right?
SilentShadow
Sorry, I did mean 800x600 res, and yes, I checked the faq.
Anonymouse
Sorry, I did mean 800x600 res, and yes, I checked the faq. Ok, in that case we probably can't help you, but being nice, we (or at least I)'ll try So, answer the following questions please: Does this only happen for Lava Laughter? Have you modded anything? As in, really anything, not just Lava Laughter-related stuff I might come up with more questions once you've answered those :)
SilentShadow
This only happens when I try Lava Laughter and I haven't modded.

Cirevam
As a temporary solution, you might want to append -testlevels to the shortcut's properties just to skip Lava Laughter for now. As for finding the error, when exactly does the crash occur? Is it before the level movie plays, at some point during the movie, or during the level loading sequence? This will at least tell us the general area that we'll need to look in. After that, it's a matter of finding out if that area has any unique properties that previous levels do not have. Anonymouse
Also, somewhat off-topic, when I first saw this topic's title, I thought it was a joke :P
SilentShadow
Also, somewhat off-topic, when I first saw this topic's title, I thought it was a joke It was sort of intended that way to get attention. I'm new so i didn't think anyone would respond that quickly like on other sites. But any way, As soon as I click on the level to start it, it freezes. I did the -testlevels short cut too and found that the one after it and to the left (I think it's "Oresome") doesn't work either, but all of the other ones work.
