changing the EC colour .

No, it didn't lose its transparency. That's actually what the EC looks like up close.

Basically, the model is too big. If you can, scale it down. Otherwise, sorry, I don't know what to do.

1) Yes it did, and I'll tell you why after I tear apart your next point.

2) The size of the model has nothing to do with transparency effects, and apemax was only editing the textures. Remember that huge unused red laser effect I showed in my recent mod video? It was bigger than the Chrome Crusher, and it looked fine. Also, I can't remember if there is a scaling function for the crystal (I just checked and there doesn't appear to be) but if there isn't then ape would have had to edit the LWO directly and successfully get the texture to appear, which means I would be hunting him down for the information. I doubt the latter is the case.

Tell you what apemax, shoot me an email or a PowerMiner this Friday and I'll see if I can recolor the texture for you. I have indeed recolored textures and maintained their transparency, so if I can get it to work I'll also send you this handy procedural guide, absolutely free. If you don't like the textures, send them back, but keep the guide as our gift to you.

Also, crystals, ore, and other pickable things have levels. Perhaps we could define new crystals through level abuse, or at least make many different coloured crystals.

The weird + thing over the crystals is all my crystals are now.

I didn't even mod the game.

One guy had suggested it was a shader problem. (yes, I posted it like 1 year ago or something. Prob only in the fall though)

I did try it but I'm still getting that stupid non-transparency issue. I have another idea though. If you want to try I'm adding

OreRGB 000:200:200

to the CFG and seeing if that does it. I've already tested to see if it wouldn't crash the game, and it does not.
