Ok dudes and dudettes, I need help. A lot of help. Help from someone who can pwn modeling h4rd, and uses h4rdc0r3 h4x all-the-time. Just kidding about the hardcore bit, but, me and a couple of my friends are working on a 3D game called "Final Dawn". Utilising the Havok engine, and using the Halo Custom Edition SDK, we are building a complete new game. We have the know-how and most of the skills, but unfortunantly we lack any modeling skills.

Now, we would really appreciate any help in this department. Please visit www.finaldawnthegame.com first, and read up on what is happening with our current design. We also are offering rewards for those who help us.

Hoping we get SOMEONE willing enough to help a team in need,

Thanks Guys,

Extreme110

I model stuff like people and a few weapons, and some people here say I have h4x, so I might be able to qualify. A few members around here use Blender, though I'm more comfortable with Milkshape. However, I suck at making textures and can't unwrap models. My style is also a bit cartoony, though I'm not sure how much that matters.

I signed up and looked around to get a feel of what you're looking for. Since non-members can't view the Member Share forum, I'll post the link to my topic and you can review my stuff. If you would like, you can repost some of the pictures on your forum, but of course I expect that credit be given wherever it is due. Also note that this topic is basically a portfolio of my recent improvements, though some things are currently not up-to-date, namely hands.

just a note - please don't write topic titles in caps, it makes it look like spam.

I'll make sure to note that for next time. As for modelling, we use a program called Gmax. It's completely free with no trials or demos. I had a look at the characters, and I think that's something we could actually incorperate into the game. I'll try find a convertor for Milkshape if you do want to help us model characters.

And thanks for the quick reply guys!

I'm downloading Gmax and its tutorial and help files as I type this. I might be able to do some conversion chains, but I'll see if I can get used to Gmax. I picked up on Maya in the one hour I used it, so maybe I'll pick up on this just as quickly.

Thanks man. I have a few tutorials at home, so I'll try send you some links when I get back from school.

I was able to export from MS3D to 3DS so Gmax can import the file, so I can make stuff in Milkshape and just convert them as necessary. Textures don't seem to show up and I'm still getting used to the program, but at least I know it will work.

if you need any electronic forms made up, just let me know. I've really gotten good at VBA. I can do up order forms and stuff for you.

Visual Boy Advance? Order forms? You know he's not paying anybody except maybe the modelers, and that's a really indecisive maybe. Maybe forms would be useful for divvying up who does what. I could definitely see that.
