Icerockman Posted April 19, 2010 Share Posted April 19, 2010 The rock monster came. This time I was prepared, lunging to the left as the boulder whizzed past my ear. It smashed into the wall behind me and I picked up my pusher beam, sending the monster flying into the wall. I fired at the roof, leaving the monster trapped. I paused to think over my lucky escape, but I was interrupted as a hover scout whizzed past, almost hitting me. The rock raider on it got off casually, and ate a sandwich. “What was that for?†I shouted. Boss says that were to build a support station here. ‘Noooo, not MORE sandwiches,’ I thought. “-and you’re (you lucky bum) going to drive the chrome crusher while I get a hover scout.†Suddenly a rumbling, terrible sound came as the chrome crusher and a rock monster came round the corner. The strange thing about it was that the rock monster was clinging to the laser on the top of the chrome crusher. Before my eyes it used a mirror to reflect the laser into the cab, burning the driver to a crisp. The raider next to me stood and threw a sonic blaster at them. “No, you fool,†I said as I took his laser and blew the monster of the top. Great. It was a pusher beam. I fired a rock from the top of the cavern at it and it crumbled. That is, the cavern. We were trapped, but with a chrome crusher. Finally, I had actually been lucky. I jumped in and crashed through the mess. I reversed, narrowly missing the lake that now had an island thanks the rubble. I got out of the side and fell into a slimy slug hole. I pulled myself out, but not before I saw a slug regurgitating a glowing sludge into another, larger hole that had another slug, different to the first in that it had hand-type things that had all the fingers webbed so as to pick up the liquid. I had never seen this type at all, so I radioed base. They seemed to want to learn about it, so I got some rope and lowered myself in... it is't much,but i will do more can you make up bits about slmy slug variants and stuff as i don't want to make it ridiculous.
