Tutorial: Replacing Special Effects

In the LEGO.CFG file, go to the MiscObjects properties block and you'll see these entries towards the bottom of that block.

Lego* > MiscObjects

LazerHit MiscAnimsEffectsRD_Laser_Impact

PusherHit MiscAnimsEffectsRD_Pusher_Impact

FreezerHit MiscAnimsEffectsRD_Ice_weap_exp

[/table]

You can change these values to ANY ANIMATION you want. The values are file paths without the extensions. I have an example of four simultaneous explosions:

Lego* > MiscObjects

PusherHit MiscAnimsEffectsMockup_explode3

FreezerHit Mini-FiguresPilotVLP_teleport02

[/table]

The game also seems to not care whether the file is a LWO or an LWS file (Lightwave files). The ore has both an LWO and a LWS named Ore1st, but the crystal doesn't have an LWS at all.

Is this how you made the dynamite laser?

Edit: Is there one for the electricity that kills monsters? It that just ElectricFence? No, maybe its the long beam...maybe short beam... oh I don't know.

Last time I checked Lightwave 7 was only around 700-800 Ollars, so... no, you don't need a $1000 program to do this.

oh wait sarcasm lol ur so funny. I generally don't post mods if they involve Lightwave since few people have it.

Edit: Nope you still don't Acmex. If you know people you can get lots of discounts. Especially non-profit organizations since they have to spend a lot in order to keep their status.
