Cyrem
I was scratching around with the models and found some interesting ones. The images that i've attached suggest some kind of 3D reinforcements. Looking further in the "Pillar" folder reveals it's textures and a "steam" animation and a light that come off the reinforcements.
Anonymouse
Ah, yes... There is a flashing light on the reinforcements, but I don't get why there'd be a model for it...
Shadow322
When you are in 1st or 2nd person veiw, they are in 3D, I have seen then! You should really check it out.
Acmex
Yes, these are featured in Eye View. In top view the reinforcements are just textures applied to the walls.
Addictgamer
Wow, cool. What if we could edit the textures and the models to make reinforcing look like something else? Like for a overhaul mod or something...
Anonymouse
Yeah, nice idea... What to do though....?

Acmex
Force fields. If they have beaming and hyperdrive tech, why bother with metal reinforcements.

Cirevam
Force fields. If they have beaming and hyperdrive tech, why bother with metal reinforcements. ^ This. Maybe I'll make a prototype this week.
Anonymouse
Note - If you want to edit the image seen in 3rd person mode, edit the textures World\WorldTextures\(MAT)Split\(MAT)21 through 25, where (MAT) is the surface of the cavern (Ice, Rock or Lava). On a side note, anyone noticed that there's a picture for reinforced solid rock too? O_O
Joe9412
this sounds awasome but i have a better idea. THEY SHOOT OUT ELECTICTY SO YOU DONT HAVE TO PUT UP A FENCE how about em apples
Anonymouse
Nope joe, there's no way we're gonna be able to mod that in... :(
Joe9412
well there is...find the renforcemnt file and add eletric fence properties into its properties
Cirevam
It doesn't work like that. Electric fences are their own objects with their own set of properties. Reinforcements are texture/model changes that merely disable landslides and emerges. We would have to give walls an isElectricFence property which would require them to also act like buildings since electric fences must be linked to at least one building to work. At least, that's what I think is going on with fences. It's not happening unless we have the source code.
Anonymouse
crap Joe, that counts as spam. Make worthwhile posts. Yes, it is crap. But I've already said that it doesn't work. Good explanation though Cirevam ;)
Shadow322
Oh tes I have seen the solid rock reanforcement. It is very strange? In the beta, did they make it so you could solect solid rock? Very odd.

Shadow322
Was a beta version ever released? Maybe just a demo or something? If there was a beta version or demo released then would it be possible to get files from that? And put them is a mod?
Sonic322
that is a good question.
Anonymouse
No, there was only the actual release. I don't think it was ever possible, not even in testing versions.
Shadow322
Really? What about the things in the WADS that only show up on the back of the plasic case for the game? I think those pics are from a beta version. Oh and didn't the older lego PC games come with a demo disc or something? Ya I remember that my LRR game came with a demo disc, there was no demo for LRR's on it (probly because it came with the real version). But there might be a LEGO demo disc out there that has the LRR demo on it. I'm only saying there are more posibilitys for the game.
