It couldn't b any simpler. And undeveloped, I guess.

This is an alpha version of a text application, "notebook". Made for me and my friend's "company", it

will be easy to use, yet having more features than a regular notepad app. Of course, it's at version

0.0.1, so expect the text to go off the window.

It's an .SWF, so open it in a browser with the flash player plugin.

Cool!

I dislike that it automatically places text though...but...that's ok...

Hey, might I ask if I should add a link to Terraform?

Also, make sure you don't resize the flash or the text won't align to the lines.

Well, I don't know if you should, but you should add it if you want to.

If you do, link both the x10 site ( http://terraform.x10hosting.com ) and the one hosted on my server ( http://terraform.getmyip.com ).

Why? As you know, my server is not a dedicated server.

eagle: you werote in the app something about an autosave.

http://www.senocular.com/pub/adobe/Flash%20Player%20Security%20Basics.html

read that before you start making fantasies about features that will be blocked by this.

Alternatively, give adobe AIR a try. It is made for desktop apps, which this seems to be.

It has some nice features like showing the native open and close dialog, and file drag&drop support.

If you have flex, I can send you the source of my version of the app :)

When I mean autosave, I mean the final .exe/.app file will have the feature. It was not mean to actually be embedded into a webpage, but we didn't need an executable just yet.

Right.

In that case you really should go for adobe AIR.

It works as a desktop app (it even runs as a .exe, but needs the AIR runtime to work), ans even allows you to add your own costum chrome (like hide the window around your app, and make your own window layout instead).

This movie contains a tutorial on how to work with it:

Good luck!

This is what happens when I have a few minutes to waste [about 60 to be precise]:

You'll need to have adobe AIR installed to run the .air file, and it will install as a desktop application.

A few features:

- Has various text format options

- Drag&drop support

- Can work with multiple sheets

- Exports as html files

Download it here:

notebook1_2.zip

to download AIR:

http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air2.html

Look further down the page for the AIR runtime installer.

Hope it is useful for something :P

You should decide whether it is better than notepad++ for yourself ;) [i know: no way!]

But for quick notes it might be nice :P

Anyway. I guess that this thread is hijacked enough now..

I look forward to the drawing and autosave features from eagle's version :)

[and sorry for the doublepost. I guessed something like this would be worth that]
