Lair
It's a potato. Opera is faster than a potato. Chrome is faster than a potato. IE is faster than a potato. You CAN'T measure the speed of a computer against a ROOT.

Also, I suggest changing the name of the topic to "Slow potato is slow" without quotes.
Acmex
Am I allowed to remind you that, espically with "tests" like these, they probably have the page cached so that the browser doesn't have to do anything? I can load just about any page in one second, IF I HAVE IT CACHED. And when you consider that "www.opera.com" is probably optimized for Opera, this doesn't exactly seem very significant. TheDoctor
Well, opera.com didn't load in one second for me, and cached was half the time. Its still fast and has EPIC FEATURES! :af:

But I guess you could try to do the url block thing.
bartvbl
but there are not filter list like in ff. Also, when you block something, there is a ton of other ads that they have ready for you. In the end it is just a LOT of work just to get the stuff blocked. Then I rahter use FF with the easyList :P

TheDoctor
Tab use of Opera sucks. After 3 tabs you are forced to use the drop-down button. I'm not quite sure what you mean. Control T, Control W, and Control Tab is all you need. Not quite sure what this drop down menu is. PROTIP: Control Shift T reopens the last tab you had open. Sonic322
Ya, IE8 has that same feature Anon But that is probably why you said "As in every recent browser I know except IE." I guess you don't know IE now do you.

Sonic322
Oh great. Sonic is trying to start another fight with Mouse. I am not I am only saying that Anon always says that IE is bad so much that he give off the impression that he used a really old version of IE, hated it and then never used it ever again. When I say really old I mean before 7, maybe even before 6.

Sonic322
yes, internet explorer 6 looked like 7 with a ugly looking GUI 7 looks just like 8 but with less features
INB681
Whoopsie. Guess Opera improved the tab feature. There was a time that after 4 tabs all following tabs came into a drop-down menu. That's why I left it after a while. Seems like I need to give it another chance. *has dled latest portable version* Anyway, the thing all other browsers are inferior to Firefox are add-ons. Apart from Flock maybe, there doesn't exist any browser that you can customize as Firefox.
