PWNZOR
So while I was grounded last week, I was busy working on this. It's the Chrome Crusher, motorized with Power Function motors. The only downside to it, is that I had to sacrifice the engine, the cargo bin, and the main chassis in order to have enough space to build this thing (the chassis wouldn't work, anyhow). Top view Side view Back view Power Switch Pushing in the axle w/knob turns the power off (it's stopped from pushing too far by the snapped-in cord); pulling on it turns it on Underside A view of the drive cage. My previous method had the wheel axle directly attached to the motors, but the wheels would fall off too easily. So, I made this cage. Wheel Assembly How the wheel is attached to the axle. Wheel Construction Step 1: Step 2: Step 3: Fully Attached Wheel There's really not much more to say. Video
DrDeath
ahhhhhh the drill fell off nice design i would have done it a little differently but thats me
PWNZOR
It fell due to my prior partial deconstruction & handling for the pictures. It wasn't really that hard to make this.
DrDeath
heres the last thing i worked on http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=436722 ive been thinking of trying to change it into a lrr vehicle
Addictgamer
Add an additional motor onto the laser so that it can turn, is my only suggestion.
PWNZOR
There just isn't enough room to add another motor anywhere without severly killing its profile, addict.
TheDoctor
AND ONE FOR THE DRILL!!! MOAR MOTARS!!!!! No, really, one for the drill, then it is complete. You could even make a short video of a "drilling" program. Edit: profile schmofile.
PWNZOR
There is no way to make the drill spin; I've tried. There isn't anything that'll hold the drill.

There isn't anything that'll hold the drill. yea the drill that comes with the cc has the loose spinning type connector and by the looks of his cc its absolutely stuffed with the components to make it move
PWNZOR
I mean, I improvised on the wheels to make them spin, but the drill has no room for improvision. And taht's what I'm saying; my CC is completely packed.
Addictgamer
Too bad, it would have made this even better. Not saying that it sucks Great job.
apemax
wow nice work. never thought you'd be able to pack all the motor stuff in there but there it is. very cool moc. this has given be a idea...
Cyrem
Amazing, great work PWNZOR!! Good luck with the comp.
Supersonic
Cool thing you built there! Is the drill fixed with one of these small plastic cylinders? If it is, you could try one special kind of these that is a bit bigger than the other ones in order to hold the drill when it's turned. You could also try to use a rubber band that connects the drill to a motor. But it's also cool without a moving drill ;)
PWNZOR
Again, the drill has a low friction free spinning peg hole that has no method of being attached to an axle. If you find a method, take a picture of it and post it.
Cirevam
<<< =+ ]||||[ -[_] Drill connected to a black combo connector (the kind with friction) connected to a female-to-female axle connector connected to a motor or gear assembly. I've done it before. It works, though it will still spin freely if you hold it or drill into tough dirt.
Zephyria
This Is....Relly Good. The Only Motorized Pieces I Have Are The Manas Bodies
PWNZOR
You have Manas? I hardly have any of the original BIONICLE...the most epic ones were the oldest. And Cire, I think I tried adding one of the friction pegs and it still spun pretty freely...maybe it's just my drill. Regardless, I'd like to have a firm hold on the wheel. Supersonic
or you just fix the drill with some kneading rubber that holds the drill in place ;)
Tracker
The wheels have a hole that can be driven by a full bushing and for the drill, dismanltle it, cut a cross hole, put it back together, and drill, drill, drill.
STUDZ
You're lucky that you still get to use LEG Owhen you're grounded... I don't.
Goob
Nice build. Maybe you need worm/spring gears to the drive wheels. It goes a bit fast for a chrome crusher. Again, the drill has a low friction free spinning peg hole that has no method of being attached to an axle. If you find a method, take a picture of it and post it. yea there is. i don't have a camera, but i know there is a way. :right:
