PROBLEM SOLVED

Thank you for providing this forum dedicated to modifying LEGO® Rock Raiders.

I have been experiencing problems with the WAD Refinery 2.0 created by Cyrem. I put the .EXE into the folder that contains the original .WADS(the folder that also has the .EXE to start the game), along with the Unpack WAD'S.batch. When I run the batch program, a console pops up along with the "Refining please wait," box. After that is done, it creates two folders..."LegoRRO, LegoRR1." The problem is that nothing is in the two folders. If anyone has an answer that will be very helpful, or another topic I can consider looking at.

Also...specs.

-Windows XP SP2 (EDIT-Actually SP3)

-.NET Framework 2.0+ installed

-I have tried to run it as Owner/Admin still does not work

-The WAD Tool 2.21 by Strider does not assist in extracting as well, it crashes as soon as I run it.

Thank you in advance!

Well you're being excessively formal. Hi.

I'm not sure about XP errors as I have vista, but the Wad tool should not be crashing. I haven't touched the wad refinery, so don't bother with that until Cyrem updates it again. I'm not sure why the wad is crashing, but perhaps you should download it again. A neutrino might have knocked a 0 into a 1 while downloading or something impossible, or perhaps this really hasn't been a problem here to begin with. Is there a service pack 3 for XP? Just wondering. That might magically fix it. Maybe not. Upgrading to vista will, and upgrading to win7 will cause more problems.

Someone else might be able to help more than I can. Stick around, you might get your fix.

Thank you for the reply, I will try to download it again. Actually, I'll have to edit something, I have SP3 instead...

No way in hell that I am 'upgrading,' to Vista :-P.

I'm saving my money for a Windows 7.

EDIT:Redownloading does not work.

I'm having the same issue and Cyrem hasn't responded. Use WAD Refinery 1.0 until he fixxes it. Or use the WAD Extractor.

Where can I find the WAD Refinery 1.0? I had an older version of an extractor(that worked) until I formatted my laptop.

Nevermind I found 1.0, and it works just fine :D...so far.

Correct as [sOLVED]

Firstly, welcome to RRU.

I'm not exactly sure of what the problem is yet, though, I have not really investigated it. But in the tests that I performed on it on my computer, it extracts fine on both XP and Windows 7. The only things I can think of as the cause is either Windows is denying it access to create files or it's having difficulty finding the WAD files.
