Vehicles having multiple passengers? Though I've always thought about trying that, it seems less likely with every vehicle I make. From looking at how differently-scaled raiders get repositioned in a vehicle and from looking at things like the Loader Dozer's floating pilot problem, I think that the driver is always mounted at the origin of the animation. For vehicles with invisible drivers, multiple passengers would look right in theory, but I don't think the game would like it.

Regarding how the driver is mounted: I could be using the wrong null entirely, but even though some AE files specify a driver null, they don't have one in the vehicle animations. The driver animations do but they also have tons of unnecessary nulls so it's a lot to sift through.

I'm saying that the driver of a vehicle doesn't seem to be mounted to a null, which means you could not add more drivers to that vehicle. However, some vehicles do seem to have matching nulls to their driver animations, so maybe it was considered at some point.

My most decisive piece of evidence is the Cargo Carrier. If you scale up a raider and have him pilot the CC, he'll appear higher and to the left, floating off the seat and away from the origin. If he just floated upwards then that would mean there's a null over the seat. If you look at the BCSail.lws file, the pilot is floating high above the origin and to the left. Obviously, this means that there is no null necessary to mount the pilot unless it were at the origin, and since the game can just say "place this at the origin", there's no need for a null at all.

If you don't understand this due to a lack of Lightwave knowledge, I'm saying it is probably not possible.

Maybe, just maybe, you could make a vehicle carry one (yes, only one :() extra raider using CanBeCarried TRUE on the Pilot.

Well you could carry several "pilots" if you added "cancarry true" as well as "canbecarried true." I would like to see a screenshot of this is someone tries it. :P

The only difference I noticed was that LRR crashed 20 seconds in-game.

Excuse me while I appreciate the irony of this.

Everyone was giving all these cool concepts and you come along and test it just to watch it fail.

It would be nice to have a bunch of Raiders pile onto the deck of a CC(the wet one) or into the hold of a CC(the dry one).

Too bad it won't work with out modding every file. But you CAN make a Raider automatically get off Hover Scout to drill a wall or clear rubble.
