Lava/ water brige

The PSX version had hovering platforms that could take one raider at a time but only moved in a pattern.

Well, you could cheat and "build" a bridge by modifying the level map so that there's a way to get across.

yea but, If rockraiders can make teleport pads and stuff, why can't they just build bridges over water and lava.

Game flaw. :P

Cid SilverWing

how would that be more efficient Cid?

Bridges are easily collapsed by floods and monsters. Teleport pads guarantee quicker and safer passage over longer distances.

PSX version?

What do you mean, there was a third version of the game?

PSX is simply another shorthand for "Playstation". It's got NOTHING to do with roman numerals (or any numbering system for that matter).

Kinda like PlayStation X, where X is just a placeholder for a number/letter.

PSX is just general. It can mean PS1, PS2, PS3 or PSP. Whatever.

Anyway, I think the reason why bridges weren't implemented is that it KILLS GAMEPLAY. :P

Kills gameplay?

Ya thats what alot of ideas do to the game, like the vehicle idea I had, the Magma Mover.

Or like that mine cart.

And the only point of a brige would be to mine walls that are on the ege of a river.

Actually, bridges could also be used for other things too, such as rescuing stranded Rock Raiders on islands or transporting vehicles to the other side of a river/ lake. They would also be a somewhat effective weapon for dropping on Rock Monsters. My point being that they possess several uses.

Well, if we could mod bridges in (which we can't) they wouldn't be cheap, it would cost something like... 23 ore just for one section.

(if you want to preserve game play)

lol this is a good idea but i think LRR team did a good enough job. Theres eiether going to be a pathway around it or just going to have to fly.
