Addictgamer Posted September 17, 2010 Share Posted September 17, 2010 So, I completely cut the sounds folder out of LRR, and now my overhaul loads in one second. Did the same to unmodded LRR and it loaded in 2 seconds. When I had tried this earlier today, the game crashed when I loaded the level. Turns out the level I tested crashes on load all the time... So, if you hate long load times and don't play with sound on anyway, just cut out that sounds folder. LRR still runs fine for me. But if you use the WAD method, maybe. If you want basic sound effects, and want fast load times, cut out all the briefings. That should cut it.
