Isn't soil the CFG Name for Dirt?

That's Loose Rock.

...wut?

Soil is Soil, LooseRock is Dirt, MedRock is loose rock, HardRock is Hars Rock, Impenitrable is Solid Rock.

SoilDrillTime 04.000:03.000:02.000:01.000
LooseDrillTime 04.000:03.000:02.000:01.000
MedDrillTime 08.000:07.000:06.000:05.000
HardDrillTime 00.000:00.000:00.000:00.000
SeamDrillTime 10.000:09.000:08.000:07.000

This is modified code from a Pilot class in one of my broken CFGs. We know that HardDrillTime is for Hard Rock, MedDrillTime is for Loose Rock, and LooseDrillTime is for Dirt. If I'm remembering correctly, SoilDrillTime is for rubble, so as this raider upgrades he shovels rubble more quickly. It worked too.

Possibly...

WallDestroyTime_Hard 150.0 ; Hard Rock

WallDestroyTime_Medium 11.0 ; Loose Rock

WallDestroyTime_Loose 7.0 ; Dirt

WallDestroyTime_Soil 3 ; Rubble

Hmm...

Soil & Loose both same thing but different name?

No.

Cirevam says it's rubble. Maybe it isn't, but...

Anyway, adding WallDestroyTime_Soil 1.0 to my gatling laser didn't do anything.

I theorize that the function used to clear rubble is not related to the function that clears walls. Case in point: you don't need a drill_null to shovel rubble, there's no continuous action for clearing the separate layers of rubble like there is with seams (though there is a way to clear the entire square in one animation), and it's considered to be a ground type rather than a wall type.

You're probably not going to get anywhere by shooting rubble with lazers.

I know that speeding up a raiders routespeed also speeds up rubble clear time.

Oddly, greatly increasing the routespeed and animation speed does this.

It looks like you messed up with increasing the animation speed. However, that looks about how fast those RR's should really be shoveling all that rubble.

It looks like he is shovelling slow, which in my view looks better then the default speed. This speed makes it look like he is actually putting hard work in.
