Cirevam Posted November 21, 2010 Share Posted November 21, 2010 All texture files for the game need to be 256-color (8-bit) indexed bitmap files. Since you're using GIMP, saving as 8-bit does not automatically index the image, but I'll get the foot out of my mouth and see if I can index a simple image. It appears that it's quite easy. Once you're ready to save your image, go to Image\Mode\Indexed... and generate an optimum pallete. Save as a bitmap and do not check the "Run Length Encoded" box. It will be saved as an 8-bit image. If you want to streamline this process, most of us use Paint.NET which automatically handles the indexing process. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
