I'm The Mad Scientist (though technically, more of a Mad Engineer), and I design and build ships. Big ones. First off, I'd like to say that this is an excellently run forum. I like how everything appears to me more-or-less in order, and there isn't much confusion or (excessive) chaos. Secondly, I think the Rock Raiders theme is awesome. I love the industrial/utilitarian design that went into each set, and I have played the PC game since I was a kid, and I am overjoyed to have found this forum. Currently, I'm working on a 1:1 scale model of the LMS Explorer, but I thought I might share one of my other creations here to demonstrate my design style. I have no name for this particular vehicle (but I would LOVE ideas!), but as you can see, it is bipedal in design, and requires one Rock Raider driver to operate it. Think of it as a hydraulic heavy-lifting suit. Ideally, it would function similarly to a small transport truck, but could carry and use tools while collecting resources. In addition, it would require two energy crystals for power. Anyway, that's about all I have to say for now. I'm excited about getting involved here, and I will be sure to keep anyone who is interested posted on the status of the LMS explorer. I've noticed the 1:1 Scale model of the LMS explorer. I'm quite interested in how that's going to turn out. Good luck! By the way, that Mech is awesome! I'm pretty sure your Robot Design of pure awesomeness might just be something I'm looking for as enemy bots for my overhaul, and if so, I'll PM you about it...who knows...it might actually become reallity...
