Cirevam
McStudz sent me a PM about trying to get his game to run, but I'm not sure how to help based on the info he presented. Here's his message: But anyways, here's my dilema: First of all, I own an IBM ThinkPad from 2003 (I think). It has Windows XP on it, so it should work. Although I don't know what kind of 3D card it has... The game installs successfully, but when I try to play either version, Standard or Advanced, my cursor disappears. I then try to get into RR through the Task Manager. This works, but everything's black and I can only hear sounds (caves, dripping, rock monsters, etc.) Other times, I hear the sounds but I only see my desktop, sans the cursor. I gave RR to a buddy of mine, and he said that it worked... to a point. It would sometimes crash. I then came to the conclusion that the game was damaged, so I quit looking for answers. Could you help me?? Thanks, McStudz Now, this reminds me of addict's recent UI mishap, but if the CD is causing problems on another computer, then there might be something else going on. How do you guys think we can tackle this?
PWNZOR
The "It would sometimes crash" is not uncommon; it's not uncommon for LRR to randomly crash, especially in a few well-known levels (like Frozen Frenzy for me).
TheDoctor
AAAAGGGGHHH. I vaguely remember this happening to me. I'm not sure why it would do this, but maybe it's because he's trying to play it on an IBM that might have a gfx card. I'm not sure if that matters, because my craputer doesn't seem to have a real gfx card and some silly excuse for a gfarce 6150 or whatever. If it works on the other guys computer then we can isolate the issue to the IMB. I would suggest he try to run it in windowed mode and see what happens. Addictgamer
I would suggest running the exe directly. If that doesn't work, he should play around with clglen.exe's options and try out "RGBEmulation (Microsoft Direct3D RGB Software Emulation)"
Sonic322
I think it's the computer he is using.
Aki Dazrold
I would suggest running the exe directly. If that doesn't work, he should play around with clglen.exe's options and try out "RGBEmulation (Microsoft Direct3D RGB Software Emulation)" I was two seconds away from suggesting this very thing. But thanks everyone for your input! since I won't get the RR back until Friday, I'll try it then. Umm, what's "running the EXE directly??" I'm such a noOb... Addictgamer
Open up the folder you installed RR in, and double click on "LegoRR.exe" Default path: C:\Program Files\LEGO Media\Games\Rock Raiders\LegoRR.exe
