Just got a wild and crazy idea to make a lego rock raiders game for C64. It will require me doing some research on how the language works, but after that, I should have no problem throwing together a decent game. I would enjoy having some input in the poll. If you do not want to play it because you do not have a commodore machine, please take note to the fact that emulators are available, they just don't have the special touch of a real machine.

Currently, my C64 is a little under the weather, so I will either try to fix it, or buy a new one. After that, I will begin studying the BASIC language. After that, I will make a few test programs to see how well I know it, and maybe make a few small applications. Once I master the language, I will start on the game, but I need you valued opinions in the above poll.

Do not say that you will not play it because you do not own a C64! Emulators do exist, and they run C64 programs perfectly!

I voted:

Yes

RTS

New Music (though I would prefer no music to remixes since the RR music kinda sucked IMO)

Maybe (Depending on how much time I had, and, obviously, whether it turns out any good)

Though in general I think you should focus on learning something modern instead.

When I first read this I went:

"IT CAN DO 3D GRAPHICS!? WWHHHOOOWWHHHAAAATTT!?"

Then I read on and went:

"Oh a platformer would be a jolly good idea!"

Make a platformer, and a character select, I wanna play as Docs, he's my favorite. :docs:

Emulators themselves have never been illegal, however, they just can't contain the actual code in the ROM chips for the system they emulate, and obtaining those is usually the hard (and frequently illegal) part.
