PWNZOR
When I run LRR, it starts up fine, plays the intro movie, and all that. However, the rockfall animation lags. By that, I mean it just half-displays, seems to go back and forth a bit, and then goes away. The time is not lengthened; just the animation does not display correctly. During tutorials, usually within the first couple of commands, the camer blacks out (still shows the GUI) and doesn't ever resume showing anything, even when I telepor tout. And then, in-level, 90% of the time I go into second or first person mode, the camera displays a pink screen, and I cannot see a thing. I can go back into 3rd person and the camera displays fine, but second and first person mode do not display correctly. Third person gameplay is not affected at all, except in the tutorials (only tried "Defending Rock Raider HQ" and "Moving Rock Raiders"). This is on my Win7 32-bit computer. Running on my school laptop (Win7 64-bit) does display the rockfall animation correctly, but the first and second person display shows a blue screen 90% of the time. I don't know the cause of this; I'm sure people have more polygons than I do, with textures, and don't have this problem...could someone guide me to the solution of this problem? Cirevam
However, the rockfall animation lags. By that, I mean it just half-displays, seems to go back and forth a bit, and then goes away. The time is not lengthened; just the animation does not display correctly. I have had this problem in the past. It's gone now... but I have no idea what caused it. I "fixed" it by making the animation run for 0 frames. It's in MiscAnims/Rockfall if I remember correctly. Just open the bugger in Notepad and set the end frame to 0. PWNZOR
No, it just makes it not display. Exactly. I want it to display correctly. It runs fine on my school laptop, the animation. But not on my home computer...?
Tracker
Does LRR run with NT, because that is what 7 looks like to LRR.
PWNZOR
I can play LRR just fine in Win7 (compatibility mode for '95). The camera just screws up. Testing has revealed that fullscreen mode is much more stable than windowed mode for the camera. But I used to be able to run it fine for windowed mode...? Addictgamer
Your graphics card/drivers are at fault. Play around with CLGlen.exe's options. Also try choosing this option on RR's startup: Focus being on "RGB blablabla". Don't forget to play around with your graphics card's settings! If all else fails, upgrade/downgrade the drivers for the card, or get a new card. I was able to fix this problem only by getting a new card. PWNZOR
This is what happens with RGB: It is also considerably slower. And the animation still lags, but this time you can see the rocks. At least it runs decent with the other settings.

One quick question: Do you mean the LANDSLIDE HAS OCCOURED Rockfall or the one that happens when swapping between menus?

Lair
One quick question: Do you mean the LANDSLIDE HAS OCCOURED Rockfall or the one that happens when swapping between menus? The latter. oooooooh. Well I had that once before. Annoying. And then Ironicly it came back just today. For me it hangs at the top of the screen and never actualy changesscreens, resulting in me terminating the game. Or sometimes falls instantly. Or yoyos. Changing to RGB untextures the rocks. And makes none of the levels work. I just removed the animation last time. I think Cirevam told me how, so ask him.
PWNZOR
The animation isn't even my main concern. I want to get the first- and second-person mode working again in windowed mode.
