Fengo
I really don't know what to think of it. Video
Lair
And here we have another stupid Licensed Lego Game done by their stupid Traveler's Tales in the same stupid engine. The Clone Wars game at least looks like it's got some new stuff, but a Disney Lego game? ...
PWNZOR
Actually, I'm looking forward to this game. I hate that it's a licensed LEGO game, and how it's Disney, and how the development'll probably screw it 75% of the details in it, but I'm interested in this, for a change. I hate the new LEGO Star Wars game, but this I'm really wanting to check out. Maybe this is due to my hate how the Clone Wars destroyed the Star Wars extended universe.... lol username
I'm willing to give LEGO Star Wars 3 a chance because it seems like they're really trying to change up gameplay with base building and such in that one. But according to this, there won't be vehicle based levels and special out of the ordinary abilities in LEGO PotC. FAIL.
aLPHA
Does lego own a bond with Disney?
The Soleutator
It's getting a bit annoying how Lego is making more and more knock-offs of movies and such. It degrades the spirit of originality, in my opinion.
aLPHA
Notice how they have so much Disney stuff? First they have Winnie the pooh duplo. Then they come out with all these cartoon network things. After that, the disney stuff EXPLODES. Prince of Persia (isn't that a PG-13 movie?), then toy story (which I must say I only liked the first movie because it was a revolution in CGI technology). Now they are coming out with Pirates of the Caribean? I never truely cared for it, the movies were too...make-believe and had no good story line to them. Sorry to burst you bubble mister chewypants, but I am a strict critic when it comes to entertainment, and I must say the best years were the *eyes get all big and black as funny grin crosses face* 80's. STUDZ
I only have one question for the (supposed) LEGO Pirates of the Carribbean videogame... How in the Blue Bricks are they going to pull off the "Where's the Rum??" scene? Or even the blood and Aztec gold parts, for that matter? As for Disney LEGO themes, LEGO and Disney go WAY back, even BEFORE the LEGO System of Play (the bricks). They made all sorts of wooden toys and inflatables that had Disney Characters on them... I think the earliest LEGO/Disney toy was made in the 1940's... Jamesster, did you know that??
aLPHA
Lego geeks... Well for those "exceptions", they will most likely do something like what they did in Indiana Jones. In that tavern place in the mountains where Indie meets his wife, They have alcohol, but it's never pointed out as being alcohol. In the 2nd game, it says water bottle for the glass bottles that you can throw, even though drunken lego men can be found taking swigs from the same glass bottles in the tavern in a bonus level. For the blood part, they will most likely exclude the blood, and just have the gold.

Yes, I have this book and this book and have read them from cover to cover, so it's quite hard not to know about it. As for the actual topic, they will probably do something like they did for LEGO Harry Potter when whats-his-name (I'm a LEGO nerd, but not a Harry Potter nerd) is running at the unicorn (it is a unicorn right?) with a fork and knife in that one cutscene. aLPHA
Um...Voldemort wants to drink the unicorn's sparkly blood because it makes him live longer.
lol username
Yes, and they handled that scene without any mention of actual blood.
Sonic322
That game looks funny. I don't see what you guys complain about. The LEGO games that Travelers Tales makes are pretty enjoyable in my opinion.
aLPHA
The game play gets annoying with that engine, but recent updates to it in LIJ2 make the gameplay alot more enjoyable.
Lair
Prince of Persia (isn't that a PG-13 movie?) So was SWIII. All they did was cut Anakin out of the image and show Obiwan waving his lightsaber. Back to a slaughtered Anakin, now with 100% less blood. And the Indiana Jones movies are even worse. Heck, ToD was one of two movies that caused the PG-13 rating to be created. Or even the blood and Aztec gold parts, for that matter? Instead of Mola waving a flaming heart around, they just dropped the guy into a lava pit and pulled him back up with no damage but 90% of his clothes missing. They pull off a lot more violence than you think.
