bartvbl
Wow! That is some neat stuff right there! Water erosion is a very interesting concept.. And I LOVE the picture with the minifigs in the wind of the oven :D
rrcoder
EDIT: Question. Do you still remember what the reinforcement map is/was? Not entirely. There were a number of additional map-layers that were proposed, and this was one of them. I believe it was a map of pre-reinforced walls (to suggest previous Rock Raider activity), however I may be wrong. I remember even having a variable fog map almost working at one point (i.e. so certain parts of the map would have denser fog). So the mobile teleport ISN'T a vehicle. Dern. Also, the tech tree seems to be missing the teleport pad. Could Tool store and mobile teleport only require radier, but the the tech tree goes power station, support station and canteen, and then the rest of the buildings. It's VERY similar to the tech tree I have set up for my overhaul CFG mod (only work beng done is in the cfg ). Can't wait to see more. If you could conclude that the canteen once existed, I would hug you. LOL at reused maps in different levels. Nope, mobile teleport was never a vehicle (just mobile in the sense that it can be 'beamed' anywhere onto the planet). And if I find any canteen related stuff, you'll be the first to know One question, I noticed the file was named h_test2.avi. Is there a h_test1.avi? There is, yeah... however it is just the same clip using a different codec. (One that doesn't work very well). Lair

Amauros
Probably what was supposed to happen when an RR got stuck in a web and the giant spider wraps him up... but it's probably a valid nerp still since I doubt any were removed... Tracker
Any of this still active? If so, could we make the needed files ourselves, basicly "finishing" the game? It would also be nice to add more exception "nets" to the executable so it can tell us what we screwed up. But, at the moment, I guess I'll just have to use the source code to track down errors and limits. Quite frankly, I'm not even sure if it will be in a language we can find compilers for. Amauros
From what I understand, the old compiler and source files are among all the stuff Karl found... and besides that, you can get compilers for old C programming. As for "finishing" the game, we can't change the engine unless we can make a new one... so anything that may work in the nerps may not work in the exe (like the cocoon thing). There is no mention of an activity for an RR getting trapped by a web or being wrapped up by a spider, so even if the nerps function would work and try calling for it, the exe probably won't know what to do. Tracker
Well find out if and when we get the scource code. If we get permission from all of the parties involved, I don't see why we couldn't.
aLPHA
It was already mentioned in one of the above posts that lego wouldn't care. LDD has a copyright on it, but all LDD cares about now is making low-quality golf simulators.

Amauros
The question is: Did someone out side of DDI make the code it was based on? That question doesn't even make sense. LRR was made entirely by DDI for LEGO. The code it was based on is the same code ORR-C is based on, language C.

And looking from the generosity of Lego in the past I'd say they won't. DDI just made it.

rrcoder
Upload it to pirate bay. I think that would be, what is known as, a 'career limiting move'. Documentation, a developers nightmare. Indeed it is! I had to document the entire Gods library a year or two ago for some external/freelance developers. It was exact the opposite of fun! aLPHA
Karl, I have a career question for you. How long did it take for you to get a degree in programming? Also, if you could confirm the existence of any models for the game, I would love to hear which ones there are.
Amauros
I'd be interested in seeing the source code in regards to the shortcut commands. We know what most of them do, but some of them show no evidence of game changes... so the source code would show what sections of the code would be enabled/disabled by the commands.
