START MEMORY LOG FF0AE19ECF

Twenty years ago, colonists landed on Planet U. With them came

terrafoming equipment, seeds, and steel.

In fifteen years, they had built cities with two hundred story

buildings. The largest of which was New Rock City. Now, there is

nothing left where it one stood, and little of the other outposts.

C1: Pipelined

I was patrolling the caverns around New Rock City with Lupi and

Preditor when we ran across some cast iron

pipes blocking the path.

"I'll get it." lamented Preditor. "Son of a," A growl came from

Lupi. "That is one heavy pipe." Finding the situation to match what

is called humorous, I "laughed" and said "Let me have a go."

Preditor, caught off guard as a result of a failed prediction, came

out with "Tracker, how are you going to move that pipe without arms?"

I started cutting, Lupi started laughing, and Preditor was

speechless. It didn't take long for me to cut through the pipe and

ram it out of the way.

We then went on down the cavern only to hit a wall. Preditor

armed its L. N. Spacy and punched a neat hole in the wall. Something

stirred on the other side of the wall, and it didn't take long for us

to find what as a rocky arm holding a pipe crashed through the wall,

almost hitting Lupi. The arm was soon followed by a monster with

too-big pants, a backwards ballcap, SEIU tee shirt, and Obama shoes.

(WTH?!) Preditor shot at it and missed. Lupi was too dazed to open

fire, leaving the path wide open for it to smash my windscreen. I

got my act together in time to remove its head, arms, and legs before

it could take another swing, but it was too late, the damage was

done. It took two weeks to repair the damage.

C2: Slug? Or Thug?

I was aboard the L.M.S. Explorer waiting for my new windscreen

to be installed when I picked up on a transmission coming from Urban

Warrior, who was assisting the N. R. P. D. "What the ****? What is

THAT? A SlimySlug with a sideways ballcap? Now I've seen

everything." The audio was soon followed by video. It looked like

an ordainary Slimy Slug wearing a sideways ballcap. (What is it

with misoriented hats?) I also saw Midnight cloaked in the

background. I was certain the Urban Warrior saw Midnight too, but

Urban Warrior was traversing its turret acrossthe cloaked TMLC.

"Watch it, you're traversing Midnight." I warned. "I'm aware of

that, Tracker."

"Well, didn't look like it."

C3: Going in

When William got wind of the Rock Mugger, as Lupi called it,

he nearly had a cow. AT-1 suspected it was the shoes. It wasn't long

before he went on a reconnassence mission to find out where it got the

habits, as the city should have been secure. Chief was not too happy

either. I think only Lord Zakida was happy because he got to use his

laser beams. William's mission lasted only a few hours, as he

dicovered that we had an infestation to deal with. "Cheif, get, ****"

A crash was heard. "******, get your ******* over here." There was

now gunfire. We started teleporting when we heard the words "Romeo

down."

We came down to find William panting heavily from dodging pipes

and a bunch of small Rock Monsters. "Everybody gear up, we are going

in." were his only words.

C4: New Rock City!

gallery_1300_106_320286.jpg

"Tracker, link up with Midnight and Grey Wolf" ordered William

from AT-1, now going at top speed on the road to New Rock City,

closely followed by AT-2, Armored Car One and Two, and Armored

Semitractor One, Two, and Three. "AC-1, close your mike or tell Zeph

and Sadie to shut their furry mouths." yelled an annoyed William.

"Can you tell Sheepdog to get off of me?" requested Eppy Pen.

"Darnit Sheepdog, get off of Eppy Pen!" It was clear that he was

frustrated. "All units declare your occupants."

"Raider, Cyrem, Addict, Cirevam, Anon, Lord Zakida." declared

AT-1.

"Null, Pascal, PWNZOR, Trainrider, Sonic, Shadow." declared

AT-2.

"Jet, Terra, Zephyr, Sadie." declared AC-1. Now I must point

out that William used "feminine" voices for the Medics and the Armored

Cars, while he used "masculine" ones for the other. Another thing is

that no two are the same, so that they can be identified by their

voices alone.

"Patum, Lupi, Sniperwolf, CTXXTC." declared AC-2.

"Null, null, Doctor, Docs, Extractor, Acmex, Eagle, Segatendo."

declared Titan.

All of the other units declared themselves empty.

"Alright everybody, get ready, we're here, New Rock City!"

broadcasted William. That was the signal for me to teleport to

Midnight's position and for the air units to break off the land

formation.

"And goodness sake, remember who is in your squad and stick

with them!"

C5: Well are you going to join me?

I arrived in the middle of a massive gang fight with bullets

going all over the place. The other units that were there Urban

Warrior, Midnight, Grey Wolf, Black Panther, and Caterpillar, were off

to the side not doing anything but sit there. I refocused my laser to

the widest setting, asking "Well, are you going to join me?" Midnight

relplied "We can't cut them apart." "No, but we can set their clothes

ablaze." was my response to the Hexadecimal Facepalm worthy remark.

The fire setting had just started when AT-1 arrived on the scene and

everyone inside bailed out and started to clean up the mess. A hail

of gunfire later and the fight was non-existant. Medic Zero and

Firebot One arrived at the now extremelly messy scene soon afterwards.

I have never seen something use so many stuctural patches before.

C6: Daharma's Karma

"Has noticed somthing odd about New Rock City?" I asked. "Yeah,

a city of ten million with no clear water supply. "commented

Caterpillar. "And no records of seams of Brickonium large enough and

close enough to power it." added Midnight. It wasn't long after that we

found ourselves using our ground penatrating radars to find the water

supply of N. R. C. We all came together at the power plant near the

middle of the city. "The only place we can go now is underground,"

complained Black Panther "****!"

"Careful, last time I wsa down here I got clobbered." I warned as

we scanned the walls. Most were solid, but we found one that was made

of fallen rock cemented together with minerals from water intrusion.

The wall was too thick to see the whole thing so we slowly cut our way

through until we could see the other side. "Well something happened

here, we have a body, an old STT, and evidence of a nitroglycerin

explosion." We were cought off guard by another bad prediction, the

one that said that we would not hear another voice.

We found out that it was William's when we cleaned off our hazard

cameras. "Daharma." was our only response the surprising comment.

"What's on the other side of the wall?" he asked. "Water." replied

Grey Wolf "Lots and lots of water." "Well, that does not help to

explain to me who Daharma was." he complained. "Call Chief, he'll

know." I told him. A few seconds later, a chunk of rock the size of a

marble flew into me. Will picked it up and pocketed it in his "don't

let a perfectly good peice of raw material go to waste" manner while

saying "We need to get out of here, that came from the wall. At least

RRCID has cleaned up the mess you six made." After more cleaning, we

saw the mess, or lack thereof in the cavern, and the wall the shot me,

which had started to fracture. "Move!" shouted Will as ran to and then

jumped into Caterpillar. We evacuatedthe cavern in six

twelve-second-long flashes of blue light.

C7: Death of a landmark

Aboveground was choas, as a riot had formed, not because there

was a shortage of water, energy, or anything else except for a lack of

law enforcement. It actually was a redneck riot, vigilantes, rioting

for their city. Alsa, it was no use, as the "Roggers" have come out in

mass. There was, at this point, no choice but to evcuate the city and

tear it down to pevent it from becoming a safe haven for Rock Monsters.

We spent the next year tearing apart the city, building by building.

It was a challenging task bringing down the taller ones as none of the

drilling vehicles could safely take them down because they would lean

and dynamite did nothing to their renforced concrete structure. Will

in the end had to bring them down with Composition Four demolition

charges, as no one else was trained to do so. (Everybody else was

trained to destroy rock faceswhich are not present in the highrises.)

We collected resources from the rubble as we went, often having

fighting off monsters and slugs in the process. When we were done

above ground, we went below to find an underground lake, hidden by the

scanners by the city from above, and a massive seam of Brickonium.

C8: Welcome to the Ninth Circle of Hell On Planet U

gallery_1300_106_552214.jpg

Cheif had put William in charge of the mess the cities were in,

putting him in charge of most of the crew and robots inthe process. I

was assigned to the Artic Warfare Team, along with Sadie, Terra, AT-1,

and the Anibot Sheepdog. Treader, Caterpiller, Lupi, Patum, Cirevam,

LZ, Scoutbot One, and AST-1 were unassigned, so they taged along. I

was told to find Polar Bear, the lead unit of the team. We found

ourselves in whiteout conditions from the moment we teleported. "I

can't see a damn thing," complained AT-1 "the snow is too wet for my

lens covers to throw it off." A loud roar was heard followed by

Treader yelling "Get'em off me! Get'em off me!" An Ice Monster was

beating Treader to peices (we were not meant to go in such cold

eviroments). I could hear another unit drive up next to Treader,

followed by the buzz of a TMLC laser's Tesla coil and the sound of

falling ice. "That's what you get for messsin' with the Polar Bear!"

The storm had weakened enough to see who said the said phrase by that

time. It was Polar Bear (go figure), a TMLC with lens covers heated by

a ring of nichrome wire which gave the a pale yellow halo of light, and

heaters around the joints. "Welcome the Ninth Circle of Hell On Planet

U." greeted the snow white laser cutter.

C9: You have got to be kidding me.

"Be careful, General Winter doesn't take prisoners." explained

Polar Bear. "Nor does he care what you are." added Whiteout. We were

joined at the outpost limits by Eskimo. "I see you brought some

friends We need the help." thanked the AIV. "At least there aren't

any Rock Muggers here." I said. "We have Ice Mugger, that's why

you're here." replied Polar Bear in a tone that concerned Lupi.

"You've got to be kidding me."

C10: The Whitaker Legacy

"Where's William?" I yelled over the MTAC link. "He's not here."

yelled back a rust colored furry thing. "Who the heck are you?" I

interrogated. "Canus, his son."

"Where is he?

"I'd imagine he's beatign on hot metal."

"He built something where he was staying." I uploaded a Portable

Network Graphics file.

"Where is that?"

"83° 53' 34" N 108° 11' 46" W -26819 Alt"

"You're not on Earth are you?"

"No."

"Figures, he seemed more at home in the air or underground than

on the surface. He was known as Raider in theairsoft circles.

"Oh, THAT'S who Raider is and why I heard Raider instead William

on the radio." Jungle Cat connected, revealing William beating on hot

metal, just as his son predicted. "That's how this sword was made."

pointed out the Anibot. "How's your mother?" asked the blacksmith.

"Not good." A "sour note" in the rythmic noise occured. "Crap, I'm

coming" The connection was cut and I didn't hear from the family for

the next four months. At least the transmissions don't take that long.

Twin particle communication saved our rears on that one.

C11: Scorned Women Power

"What happened here?" I asked Lupi. "Girl power, that's what

happened. He" pointing to one of the beaten gang members "called Terra

a "b". That bunch oveer there" pointing to another group "started

using "female cat" jokes on Sadie. You can guess what happened next."

"Looks more like scorned women power to me." Terra slaped me with her

gauntlet. "Hell hath no wrath like that of a scorned women." I

continued, ignoring Terra's silent comment. "Amen to that." affirmed

Lupi.

C12: That was close

"Watch it!" yelled an officer of the Subzero Outpost Police

Department as I race by. I heard over the radio an Ice Mugger was

tearing apart some buildings. I chose to ram the Mugger first when I

got to the scene, as not to give it the chance to hit me with its

"club." The result was it going into the air, landing, putting its hat

"straight," pulling up its pants, and moving its attention to me. "Oh

no you don't." I said as I cut it apart midswing "I'm not having that

crap again." After I finished, I let out a "That was close"

C13: We let one through

It wasn't long before it was determined that the best course of

action was to evacuate all of the permament outposts rather tham try

to keep out the "riff-raff" nor did it take long for the Super Teleport

Pads to be built for said evacuation effort. It is a challenge to

keep ordianary monsters and slugs from breaking them in good visiblity,

but to have to deal with these Muggers and Thugs was almost impossible.

I, along with the rest of the Artic Warfare Team, Terra, Sadie, AT-1,

and Sheepdog.

"Bravo, two o' clock." I called to the othera as a figure

approached. "Foxtrot, hold your fire." it responded. "Jungle

Cat--don't do that. You nearly got yourself turned into scrap."

lectured Sheepdog.

"Bravo, eight o' clock." alerted Whiteout. "Hotel identified."

I answered "Terminating with extreme prejudgedice."

"Hotel, three o' clock." alarmed Eskimo. "Hostile, ten o'

clock." exclaimed Terra. "****, they're everywhere." yelped Sadie.

"Terminate with extreme prejudgedice." decreed Polar Pear. "Don't let

them get to the pad!" I added. The racket of Tesla coils, laser

beams, and firearms, then the almost musical noises of icy blocks of

monster drowned out the blowing wind and snow. Sheepdog turned to

verify that the pad was unharmed, only to see that a Thug had slipped

past and had drained the pad to the point of damaging it, and say

"****." as a result. "Get some ore and some engineers here on the

double!" I ordered up to the Explorer. A closer in spection also

revealed that one of AT-1's had torn through the building in the

one-way fire fight. "Damn, wew let one through."

C14: DON'T DO THAT!

"Yep, that's Fuzzball, in all of his troublesome lockpickin',

"I'll break into the armory just to make William mad" glory. I

regonize that white heart anywhere because who can forget it as that

was the first thing you saw when he did that. Where'd you find it?"

said my builder's assistant upon beign shown the 152 pound Canaan dog

by Cyrem. "It was on my ship" "Only my wife and children had access

to that photograph so unless thay put it there--well, wait a minute,

I just remembered that Fuzzball tought his children how to get past

iris scanners, keypads, and any other lock that does not need hands

to defeat. As the saying goes, 'If you don't want a Canidae Sapian

ti get into something, don't put a lock on it.' The challenge of

picking a lock seems to be what interests them." "His

children?" "Fuzzball acted human, so calling him an 'it'

didn't fit." Will then pointed to Lupi, "That is one of his

decendants and they look no different than the ones he sired." "I

heard that." yelled a now disgruntled Lupi. "I'm sure you did," I

called out from a nearby alleyway, sending all three into the air

from shock, "because I did from here." "DON'T DO THAT!" the three

exclaimed in unison.

C15: The Family

"Coder, have you gotten my ship's code straightened out yet?"

inquired a grumpy Cyrem. Coder was more familier with the code that

drove the R.R.U. Exlporer. In fact, he was the only one, which is

why he was working on it and not Cyrem. who is an avid programmer

otherwise. "No, I may have to scrap my great grandfather's work and

start from scratch. To make matters worse she lacks the sensors to

navigate." "Whoever thought making the R.R.U. Explorer autonomous

was a complete idiot." We all turned to find one of William's

daughters standing there, blowing my "cover" (I was hiding in a dark

corner) when I moved my turret (of all the dumb things). "Lupi?" I

asked now that my presence was known. "No, Canine. And don't you

dare confuse my name with Canine Blade." Lupi had come when I

confused him with Canine, giving us a chance to compare the two and for

me to update Facereg and Profreg. The two were wearing the same type

of armor and had almost identical markings making it almost impossible

for Facereg to tell the difference. Profreg wasn't much better, but it

was able to do the job thanks to distinctive gender-specific traits.

"Are you sure you two aren't related?" asked a stunned (and still

grumpy) Cyrem. The piar of furry bipeds answered with a "No!"

Canine's sister, Canid, and her mother, Amy, joined the group. "I

thought you were sick?" I questioned Amy. "I was, until my husband

retought my caretakers how to use his medical supplies." was the answer

I got. Unlike Canine, Amy and Canid prefered not to hint at the fact

that they can have fur, though Canid was doing a lousy job at it as her

teeth were closer to those of a Canidae Sapian than a Homo Sapian.

They weren't even wearing armor, that has proven critical to survial in

the mines, at least the unstable ones. Nor did they have shields, the

only acceptable substitute. "You need to" acting on orders Will gave

me "wear armor or equip shields if you wish to enter the unstable

caverns or work in the outposts." "Then we won't go there" said Amy.

At that point I had finished the simulaton of their morphs. I

discovered that Amy would look like a female version of William and

that Canid would closely resemble Terra. Lupus, Canus, and their

father, William, then entered the now crowded room, making Coder

grumpy and Cyrem even more so. Lupus was grey like his father, but

with a notibly different build (my definition of "notibly different" is

not notible by your standards, as it can be a hight difference of a few

millimeters). I will just say the truely notible difference is the

level of countershading is different. "I never mentioned that my four

children are quadruplets." commented William.

C16: Flying Raiders of Subzero

"Aren't you supposed to be in Subzero?" inqured William. "Yes,"

I answered "and the evacuation has ground to a halt." William asked

why and I gave him "We lost the pad." Needless to say, Will did not

look happy, nor did Coder, Lupi, Cyrem, or anyone else for that

matter, so I left. I arrived to find Sadie kick a Slimy Thug's rear

end. "Stay down." she growled. When that didn't work she hissed and

swiped at it with her clawed hand, hitting it on the cap. I rounded

the corner to see Cirevam, Terra, and Zephyr flying at me. I joked

"Look, it's the Amazing Flying Raiders of Subzero." while I reversed

to try to catch them so they would have something "soft" to land on.

A deep "meow", yelp, and ow could be heard as they piled up on my

canopy. When they got off, I found Chief in the samr foul mood that

he was in when the galley was trashed twenty years ago standing in

front of me, with Pascal, Lord Zakida, and Trainrider dealing with a

bunch of Ice Monsters and Ice Muggers. "Well, I can't just through

them now, can I?" I snapped. I just recieved a stare and stared to

kick some icy butt. A few minutes later I got the message "The pad

is back online." and then announced "The pad is working again, fall

back." to the others around me. "We need to finish the evacuation

and removing the crystals from the city, so move it!"

C17: Dragging your sorry *** to safety

My next assignment was to helpthe members of the woodland team,

Eppy Pen, Saber Tooth, Wood Burner, and Forestfire, to clear out the

swamps and forests the colonists made. "The person who thought

putting a swamp on this planet was a moron." namecalled HIRISSE Recon

zero from its 100000 foot perch in the sky. "I can barely see you

guys down there." "At least you can move around," rebounded Addict

from a Mega Mobile Laser Cutter "I can't go two feet without running

into a tree." "Why are in these things anyways?" asked Biorune from

the Solid State Laser Cutter. "It's so you don't break through the

crust of the swamp." I answered. "That is why I brought my Tunnel

Scout." smarted Baz. "Good for you." backtalked Retsnom in an annoyed

voice from the Duck Boat. "I don't have to worry at all because I'm

flying this by remote!" said McHover through his

not-very-standard-at-all hoverboard from the L.M.S. Explorer. "There

you are. We've been looking for you." It was Eppy Pen. "You're

supposed to be clearing the path for us." I said in an angry tone.

There was a loud crash as Wood Burner cut down a tree with its saw.

"Watch where you put those things!" yelled Baz as the tree nearly

knocked his Tunnel Scout to the ground. "Demobot's here." announced

Toot from the back of the Duck Boat. "What good can you do if you can't

lift anything! The crust won't support my weight and the trees weigh

twice as much as me. Your six wheels produce only half the ground

pressure that my four feet do. Do the math! Whoa ****!" There was

another loud crash as Jungle Cat and the tree it was sitting on came

crashing to the ground, breaking the fragile crust. "Help!" My amimate

friends couldn't do anything but laugh as Demobot pulled the strugling

Anibot to a safer location. "I can start by draging your sorry *** to

safety." replied the six wheeled, one armed robot. "You'll be doing

that often." forewarned Forest (not Forestfire) from a nearby tree.

C18: Carnivous Anibots

Eppy Pen's map of teh swamp crust was extremely helpful in

avoiding more embarrassing breakthroughs. "Need to find something to

eat." alerted Jungle Cat. "You're a robot, what the **** do you need to

eat?" exclaimed a tuxedoed Baz, now standing on top of the Duck Boat.

"I am powered by a biochemical reactor fuel cell, almost anything high

in sugar or protien will do." explained Jungle Cat. "Brickonium works,

but it is less than than protiens, which are ineffecient in and of

themselves becuase they have to be converted into carbohydrates and then

fermented, so you can guess why Brickonium is worse." "There is an

annoying group of bats a few miles over there. Use them." blurted

Forest. "Yeah, use them." affirmed Forestfire.

C19: ANIBOT DOWN!

We had just left the swap and entered the stable forest when an

explosion shook us. I was just about to ask HIRISE Recon Zero what

happened when it broadcasted "Anibot down! Anibot down!" Titan and

Kamov, which were helping to evacuate a small outpost deeper in the

forest responded with "Distress call heard, responding. ETA: Three

minutes." Saber Tooth and Eppy Pen turned around and stared to head to

groud zero. I aske why and got "The crust was broken by the explosion,

I garrentee it." from Saber Tooth. Demobot and I follwed them with

Forest, Retsnom, Toot, Kataton, Zephyr's white furred brother, Shale,

Argi, Ogun, and Unasake in the Duck Boat. "Some one will have to rig

Demobot to Titan's winch so that it can be lowered into the water and

pulled out." added Eppy Pen.

C20: Terraforming at its finest

Like they said, there was a watery hole. Kataton rigged Demobot

to Titan and Demobot drove off the edge when he was done. It was an

hour before all of the parts were accounted for. By that time, Will

had arrived at the scene. "At least the hard disk is still intact." he

said. The reactor exploded, from methane I think. The methane count

is already dangerously high, even though we have been here for only an

hour and there was almost none upon our arrival. Titan started to

flame out when it raised the last part." reported Saber Tooth. "Take

the parts to he shop, I'll put poor Jungle Cat back together this

afternoon

The next day Jungle Cat was back with us with a new reactor and

spine. Its harddisk drive also had to be rebuilt as the heads crashed

into the platters. "I tried to catch a bat, but I missed and ingested

air." The area was full of methane gas. Titan almost flamed out as it

was lifhing the last or your parts, less than an hour after the

explosion." I explained to the still shaking Anibot. "****, no wonder

I went sky high." Another much larger explosion sent me a good six

feet to mt right and Jungle Cat ten. "At least my drive didn't crash

this time." the Anibot remarked as it was picking it self up. Eppy Pen

called out "I'm okay! **** methane. You can't even burn it off

without it giong up in your turret." "****, this ain't just a fire

swamp, this is an explosive fire swamp." I broadcasted in return

in my redneck dialect "Ah yes, terraforming at its finest." inserted

Jungle Cat.

C21: We may have ash

It took another long year of explosions, breakthroughs, and other

mishaps to get the swamp under control and a month before the forest

outpost was dismantled.

My next task was to join up the Desert Group with Eppy Pen,

Demolisher and Destroyer, the two AHQ-2s that were with us, Cheiftan,

the other AUH-1 aboard the Explorer, Goliath, the other AUH-2 aboard

the Explorer, Cain Raiser, Troublemaker's "twin", Sonic, Shadow, RR,

Apemax, Admall, Shale, Pryo, Scoutbot Zero, Scoutbot One, HIRISE Recon

One, Firebot One, and Medic One to back up Desert Fox, Sandman, Sahara

Heat, Can Opener, and Door Kicker in rasonding to a group of distress

calls coming from the many desert and coastal outposts.

"We have had reports of lava intrusion throughout the area."

briefed Sonic from Goliath, which was carrying his brother, Shadow, as

well as Pyro and Apemax.

"Holy ****, helos, we need an airlift." I commed as I turned and

skidded sideways to stop before landing in a field of molten rock.

"That was close." I added when I came to a stop a few inches from the

hot rocky mass.

Chieftan took the Scoutbots and the Firebot while Goliath took me

and Medic One. HIRISE Recon One which was flying low level like the

helicopters, climbed to 75,000 feet to provide Eppy Pen and its

occupant, Admall, teleportation coordinates. "These people weren't

kidding when they said they had a growing sea of fire." exclaimed

Destroyer as we flew over a vent. "Keep the intake filters open, we

may have ash." it continued.

C22: Firesand

We came to a scene tha twould be worthy of a Hexadecimal Facepalm

if it were the result of someone's mistake. It was then Goliath that

decided to drop me from one hundred feet up. I would have landed on

Can Opener had I not teleported.

There was rubble everywhere. "Were done evacking this desert

outpost. There is one that we can't clear without extra help a couple

miles south." explained Sandman. I went souuth with Goliath and

Sahara Heat to find a large city eith a lava flow encoaching on it.

Mega Fire Trucks were already dousing teh molten rock, but the crust

kept breaking fromm the force behind it. "Is there a wall we can put

up?" I asked. "No, it there was, we wouldn't have this problem."

answereed Sahara Heat. "The only thing that is keeping the lava from

undercutting the city is the sand cooling it as it passed through the

sand." explained an evesdropping firefighter. "Wait, that gives me an

Idea. Get HIRISE Recon One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Five Bravo, Six,

Seven, Seven Bravo, Eight, Ten, and Nineteen down here. Have them blow

sand onto the lava while the fire department cools it." ideated Sonic.

"I'll be ******, it's holding!" shouted one of the fire fighters.

"It won't hold forever. I'm picking up siesmic activity." I told him

"We have a lot of work to do before then." The rescue and recovery

teams spent the next four days dismantling the outpost. The lava broke

through the barrier on the third day of the operation when we had

started to tear down the last few buildings, so we stayed to finish the

job as we were 4000 feet from the flow.

I moved down south with the rest of the group to a coastal

outpost that was starting to lose the lava war when we were done. We

also commandered the firefighting equpipment from the desert outpost.

"Can someone explain to me why Mariner, Tsunami, and Blue Shark

aren't responding to this call?" inquired Chieftan. "They are."

answered HIRISE Recon Eight from 70000 feet "They are towing tankers."

"The other land units were forced to teleport to safety when they got

surrounded." relayed Tsunami through the Explorer. Chieftan inqired

further "So you are saying you three are the only support we have?"

"Yes." "Crraapp."

C23: Hollow Victory

Poke and Zulujean were mannig the only two MFT's there. I was

connected to a trailer tank and remote spray arm. Goliath started

puting a pipeline to carry seawater to the lava flow. We stuck around

for a few months to make certian that the flow was stopped.

I was inspecting the flow when I saw the all too familar pipe

coming at me. I teleported while cutting to avoid what would have

been another broken windscreen. The mess left indicated that Lava

Monsters have joined the SEIU. "*******************, that was close."

was the corrosponding audio response. Needlesss to say, the victory

was as hollow as the planet because we still had to tear down the

outpost in the end.

C24: Rock Monster Riot

One of the Anibots developed a program that creates terrain

preferences accordign to expiences in teh terrain. It also contains a

memory controler that discards certain expirences as they occur. It

is why I can say the mines are my prefered place to be and why this

call was retained while the others were discared.

Reason=Unknown

That sent me to the Underground Prime outpost, nicknamed Ono-Koro

after the fictional Biological Chronicle village, located on the shelf

in the central vent of a dead volcano. Caterpillar, Treader,

and Twilight were alredy deployed to the outpost.

"What happened here?" I asked the trio upon seeing the partially

demolished buildings. "A Rock Monster riot." said Rock Raider, who

joined me in the response from inside the outpost, pointing to the

brown rock. Another dark shape appeared in the shadows. When I

targeted it, I recieved a "Hold your **** fire!" We responded with

"What the heck do you think we're doing?" as it came into the light.

"You are not Jungle Cat." as the blue light of AT-1 teleporting into

the cavern illuminated the face of the mystery Anibot. "I see you have

met Ironclaw." contributed the armored six by six. "Since when were"

"I was mothballed a good long 900 years ago." interupted before I could

add "on the roster?" Mothballing is a temporary deactivation, which

explained why it was not on the roster, whic is for active units only.

"Ursa and Cybear are also mothballed." continued the "new" Anibot

"There is talk of reactivation of all of the mothball roster given the

size of the problem." "Who else is on there?" I interrogated.

"Greengun, MQ-1 Wiskey; Yellow Doom, M1B1 Delta; Killer Shrub, MQ-1

Wiskey; Snowdrift, MQ-1 Alpha; Grim Reaper, M1B1 Charlie; Darth Tanker,

MQ-1 Charlie; Dark Gunner, MQ-1 Charlie; Building Breaker, M1B1

Uniform; Silent Death, M1B1 Alpha; Deconstructor, MQ-1 Uniform; Asphalt

Assult, MQ-1 Uniform; Icepick, MQ-1 Alpha."

C25: Reatvation of the Mothballs

"Vison--pass--Motor--pass--ACOTPOS--pass--Humaninout--pass--All

Hardware pass--AIcore--go--Humaninout--go--Radio driver--pass--All

software go--All systems fuctional" was all I heard the next day

followed by the random radio chatter of the reactivated units updating.

After the chatter settled down, the orders were given. I found

out during that time that the Anibots were tasked with "my" outpost,

along with General Purpose Vehicle Eight, something that would haunt

the team later. Anyways, life in Ono-Koro was about to get

interesting.

C26: Cybear's Trouble Warning: Aclohol Refernce

It was indeed interesting as I will now tell you.

Cybear had, I kid you not, a "meal" of bat and beer (those

bioreactors convert organic material into aclohol, which powers a fuel

cell, so pure aclohol works best as no conversion is needed).

Unfortunately, Cybear also had a program that makes it act wasted

whenever it gets "wet." (It must have gotten it from GPV Eight.) It

is bad enough when a person gets drunk, but an one ton Anibot,

well, I will leave it at singing radios and smashed buildings. At

least the crew got a laugh.

We spent the first day at the out post keeping Cybear out of

trouble the best we could.

C27: ****!

I found Sniperwolf, Patum, and Lupi canversing with some local

kin and friends. "We're fed up with the government back home." griped

David, a golden C. S. Familiaris Canaan. AT-1 started moving over to

them. "Yeah, figured they would get stupid." commented Sniperwolf.

AT-1 had gotte to them and interupted "Don't these people knoy their

history? ****, I thought we fixed the politician problem years ago."

"We did, but they didn't." grouched Gabriel, shaking his half black,

half black head. Sarge and Pryo were there as well, but Pyro has sealed

lips around AIV's, so I will not bother to mention him further, at least

by name. "Does this mean I can kick smoe ***?" asked Sarge. "Sadly,

no, you can not kick President Obama the Second's ***." replied Abram,

the black coutershaded, brother of David, in a dissappointed manner.

"****!"

C28: Checkpont of Anger

Bombot sealed off the southern portal to the cave network,

leaving the western one to pull everybody out through. An artificial

stream was made to preven magma from coming through the vent. A series

of checkpoints was established at every cave intersection along the 20

mile ramp to the surface to keep the natives at bay.

A "You **** ****** ****** *******!!! Blocking off the *******

******* ******* road just someone wore a SEIU shirt. Dumb****." is

what I got from one commuter, to which I replied "I heard that." and

then lased a rock off the cavern roof in front of him. That was a very

mild bit of profanity that I heard while at the checkpoints.

Appearently, only a small part of the population knew what was going on.

C29: Last One

What few structures tha twere not built into the cave walls proved

very difficult to take down due to the confined space. Tempers flared

often. Moving the people out wa sa nightmare. We tried a door to door

evacuation and failed. In the end, it took a broadcast to get them to

leave. A sample of the transcript is as follows:

"We have ecountered creatures <display Vidlog FFFFEO18AB

(Pipleined Incident)> that have started to take on the traits of

convicts."

Even then, things did not go smoothly. Even more tempers flared

as the natives started to try to steal things, the Rock Raider who shall

not be named did sit in protests, Cirevam had to tackle a purse

snatcher, and Cybear and GPV Eight got a hold of vodka. All of that

added up to one big mess that needed cleaning up.

At least that was the last outpost.

C30: Good Job

"You all did what you were suppoed to do, a good first step to

staying on my good side. Cybear, GPV Eight, you're in deep trouble."

congratulated William. "Your misbehavior has gotten you a week of

mothballs. To everyone else, go home."

Don't edit the post or the formating will become screwed up! Never mind, I lost the indents that I tried to keep.

You're the only person who can edit the post.

Unless a mod wants to edit your post to make it shorter.

That was for the mods. They can have the souce file if they need to edit something. I can't get indents to work with it, and editing tends to remove them.

So how was it?

START MEMORY LOG FF0AE19ECF

Twenty years ago, colonists landed on Planet U. With them came

terrefoming equipment, seeds, and steel.

In fifteen years, they had built cities with two hundred story

buildings. The largest of which was New Rock City. Now, there is

nothing left where it one stood, and little of the other outposts.

I love the idea of a post-apocalyptic Rock Raiders :D

Sorry, the gallery update made this impossible. All I can give now are links. Unless I can get it to work outside of the spoilers.

Which are useless for this AND my creation topics. Editing older posts will almost certainly bring the problem to them as well.
