The Rock Raiders source code... the holy grail of RR modding.

If only we could get a hold of it...

Well, lets try. We need to get in touch of LEGO, and see if we could get/buy the rights or source code off them.

Cyrem, could you please try? We could do WHATEVER we wanted with RR.

Just a thought... please humor me...

DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THAT WOULD COST??? AND CYREM'S ALREADY PAYING ALOT FOR THIS SITE!!!

and I don't think they would give it to us.

LEGO would never sell the rights to RR because it is to close to Power Miners. as for getting the source code i recommend getting in contact with data design although i doubt the source code even exists anymore.

If the source code didn't exist anymore then what would that mean for us modding the game?

They would never trash source code, simply because of the "recycling code" concept. This concept is shortened to "Why re-invent the wheel?".

Never going to happen, I repeat, Never!

Why? you would be buying an income. So the price that you would pay would be based on how much they've made off the game and how much it cost to make the game, I'm talking hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars here. Once you got the right to the game you still couldn't do anything with it because you would need to source to the G.O.D.S engine which DDI owns. I guarantee they will never give you the engine because that is what they have made all their games with. Lego have never and will never sell their games. You'd also have to buy the right to use the Lego logo and the 'lego brick'.

No chance in the world buddy.

well... maybe if he won the lottery, invested it, got 20 fold, bought Macintosh, waited 2o years of profits then bought lego....

It might be possible....
