dead_name
I'm origamiguy. I'm 18, I've just finished exams for the summer, and I'm off to University later this year to study computer games programming. I'm a programmer, C# is my main language of choice, although I'm also good with PHP and JavaScript. I've recently rediscovered a lot of my old games and set out to hack them, and it was in searching for information about LEGO.JAM from LEGO Racers that I discovered this forum. Over the past few hours, I've cooked up a .JAM extractor of my own, and I'm now working on adding support for rebuilding .JAM files. I will happily share it with you if requested. I'm now getting my teeth into the other formats that have yet to be solved by "Project: Racers". I trust I will enjoy my stay here.
Cyrem
Oh awesome. The biggest issue of Racers at the moment (and also LEGO Loco) is the BMP formats. I look forward to seeing your JAM extractor when it is finished. Does it run standalone? We have a JAM extractor here but it requires Adobe Air to run, so a standalone extractor would be great! Oh and welcome.
TheDoctor
ELLO. Insert obligatory welcome statement here blah blah blah. Maybe you can help with the LEGO Island archives too. Cyrem seems to have stopped working on them.

I sent Cyrem some a while back. If he still has the archive he can pass it on to you, or i'll just make another. I'm programming my launcher atm. aLPHA
Yes, I've done some research into the LEGO island file working and there are a few files that act as the config, the media (models, pictures, music), and the actual program that runs the game. I managed to somewhat understand the first file type but I can't find the media because it's a hidden file and I can't see it even though the configs call for it many times.
